Really good clip to scout Russell. We was against really tough defense. He showed terrific handles, shooting, passing and IQ.

My guy Pöltl was dominating the small SF Austin frontcourt. If he declares for the draft this year, someone might pick him up in the first round.

My goodness... that is a quick release.

I sticking with us needing a PG (preferably Dunn) to go along with Russell. In that clip, Russell struggles to drive past a quicker, smaller guard. Granted, it was one game and he was playing against a good defense in VCU, but he honestly looked much better off the ball running off screens. He's a great player on a horrid team.

Poetl was projected as a late lottery pick earlier in the season, he kinda fallen off since then. I wonder if he even declares this year?

He was way better off ball because to me he is definitely a playmaking shooting guard and not a point guard . His high upside is monte Ellis -- Brandon Roy--- Ray Allen level . 76ers must draft this guy .

Incredible composure, considering he was getting bitzed by two guys most of the game. Very versatile, can play off the ball, can brake down the defense off the dribble. His lack of elite quickness/athleticism is a little scary, but he can develop Steph Curry-like skill level and more than compensate, imo.

Bobby Portis looks like he can be a very good player. A rotation of Noel, Embiid and Portis could be pretty solid. I know some have hyped him before (I believe Negrodamus). Is he a player you look at with the Miami pick (if it falls 15 or 16) or more of an OKC slot pick (19-20)

I'm not a huge fan of Portis as a pro prospect. I think he has a very low ceiling and is a reserve. I like his height-for-position and he is a good shooter, but he isn't a great athlete. I've seen Portis look outclassed against better athletes. On the opposite side of the spectrum for me this year: I really like Jarnell Stokes as a "sleeper", and I usually totally dismiss "tweeners". I like that Stokes doesn't get overwhelmed by size and athleticism. He seems to be able to score on anybody. I could envision him being a better Jared Dudley.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Yes, I like Portis quite a bit. He has been a fluid athlete every time I've watched him and, much like Russell, has made this Arkansas team relevant this year. His jumper is a bit ugly, but he makes them, so defenders have to at least acknowledge him on the perimeter.

I also like his fire. He was jawing with WCS and Towns the whole game in the SEC championship game.

Justin Anderson has a great wingspan, is tall for his position and a great athlete. Nevertheless so absent in Virginia's offense. Is it because of his recent injury, his ball handing, or just lack of confidence?

tomorrow can't get here fast enough, Kentucky at 2:40 pm followed by Ohio St/Arizona at 5pm.
Russell will have to drop at least 40 for Ohio St to have a chance against Arizona.

RHJ will be guarding Russell, right? What a test that will be.

Watching Kris Dunn right now against Dayton. And I have to say he is not Impressing me at all this game. It could just be a bad game but Dayton doesn't exactly have a great PG, and Dunn is having trouble beating him. 4 assists and 5 TO's on 3-11 shooting so far is not very good.
