Right now he's getting rookie non-calls

So i'm just watching the miami game now, yeah i'm a sucker for punishment. Something that i've loved in the first half is even with getting blocked, oak and noel are attacking the rim. there is a ton of contact that they are not getting the benefit of... that will eventually change. i hope. lol

With Jah, he's not attacking the off positioned defender like a James Harden or a Duncan. He's more of trying to elude the defender to not get blocked. I haven't seen him using pump fakes to get calls, and he uses armbar to create space off the defender that can sometimes be called for offensive foul (saw him using it with Ibaka and Lavoy Allen).

..another way for Jah to have a better impact on defense is to imitate duncan or hibbert on defense, where they will anticipate where the defenders will be with their arms straight up. It allows him to protect the rim without jumping.

it also mentioned the ff:
- Sixers is 28th on defense with Jah, 2nd without him. But low sample size
- Coach K's defense in duke and in the NBA has a steep difference.
- Jah playing better without Noel might mean, limiting Jah's minutes where it would help both Jah/Noel and also keep Jah fresher on the defensive/rebounding end.
- Pelton believed Hinkie drafted Jah because he's a superior asset and wouldn't be surprised if Sixers deal him for, dare I say, DLO.

Ben Simmons jumpshot is non -existant and he's bulling lesser opponents. His first step looks slow for a wing and he's scoring on garbage baskets. Yet, we are quick to annoint him as a much coveted superstar piece over a beast like Okafor. Who by all accounts is progressively trending to stardom as we speak. He deserves to be an allstar. Okafor is holding his own at 19 years old vs the leagues best, strongest and most athletic big men every game. He is having consistent 20 pt games, getting double doubles and having games with multiple blocks. Okafor is getting doubled and triple teamed every night on the **** team in the entire league. Scoring under the worst circumstances possible. No perimeter scoring help,Frequently put of position, poor spacing, lack of vet, lack of a quality nba facilator, lack of floor general and lack of quality touches aren't in his favor yet he still produces.

Okafor is as good as it gets in terms of a dominant scoring prospect. We should be trying to build around this guy instead of looking for ways to ship him off.

I am not really high on nerlens as a cornerstone piece like most of you are because he is still one of the weakiest bigs in the nba. He gets thrown around in the post . He is getting torched by stretch 4's and bodied by post players. His offense is limited like Smuel Dalemberts. He is first up for contract and if Embiid is healthy will be the first one traded.

I like how we're "team analytics" until we draft someone who scores a bunch of points and now we're "team points"! Okafor is not a beast. He's been not very good. Hate to break it to y'all.

Noel comes off the bench next year with Embiid or Okafor starting at PF

too inefficient scoring the ball. He needs to learn how to take contact and draw fouls.

As somebody who isn't a 76ers fan and a huge Jahlil Okafor fan, please trade him-to literally any other team. Please.

Do the big guy a favor since you hate him so much. #SaveJahlil

I'd trade him just to stop the random Dukies from littering this board.

Pelton is playing too much NBA 2K I think. The rest of these trolls hating on Okafor I just ignore. You can't debate with ignorant people that expect him to be prime Shaq his first year in the league. The defense, rebounding, expanded offensive game, the fifteen footer....that'll come over time, it's just that these ignoramus's don't understand that concept.

No. He's a bad fit offensively and Jah is just inconsistent with his effort on the other end.
