LeBron is spitefully making Gilbert pay luxury tax as an act of revenge for the 2010 Comic Sans letter.

What do you mean? They just re-sign him. You can go over the cap with your own free agents. They can go as far over it as they want as long as Gilbert pays the luxury tax.

Didn't mean literally, they're obviously just going to resign Lebron, however they're going to be so much over the cap it's going to be interesting to see how much Gilbert is going to have to fork over as a result of it.

EDIT: Read back, poor choice of wording, question doesn't even make sense in the context I had meant for it to.

  It makes me happy every time I see a FA sign elsewhere.

Monroe to the Bucks.Just need Aldridge to make up his mind and sign with Spurs/Suns/Rockets

Milwaukee quietly building a nice young roster.... Mcw-Middleton-Giannis-Parker-Monroe

Defensively, I still have some questions with that lineup down low (Okafor/Embiid are licking there chops), but they should be a young squad on the rise in the East.

MCW, Greek Freak, Parker, Monroe

Not a bad team in the east. MCW just needs to realize who he is, and isn't, and they could make some noise.

They have a good collection of talent, but I don't see much of a fit.

Right now we should want talent to be signing with the Knicks. They need to be better than us.

Thomas Robinson signs 2 year deal with the Nets. Wish we could have brought him back.

No room for T-Rob. Even if Embiid misses the entire year, we still have six bigs on the roster.

I feel so bad for the Kings...they make a huge deal to clear space, offer Matthews $45 mill/3 yrs and he's probably still going to Dallas. Remember, CA state income tax is 13%+, while TX has none. Dallas can offer a smaller contract and he'd still make more, plus he'd end up in a better environment/winning situation. Poor SAC.

Edit: Honestly, the best thing that could happen this year are SAC/LAL both striking out in free agency, which leads to SAC admitting they messed up, and finally trade Cousins. LAL gives in since they struck out, and send Russell/Randle/Clarkson/future pick for Cousins. LAL is good enough to not be a bottom 3 team, and SAC is in total rebuild mode.
2023-2024 Philadelphia 76ers:

Lowry/Melton/Payne
Maxey/Hield/Downtin
Batum/Oubre/Council
Harris/Covington/Martin

Mavericks would be stupid to get into a bidding war with the Kings

Agreed, Kings bring a to mind a famous line from a song " We're on the highway to Hell" , the gas pedal is stuck at this point.
