I think that lack of confidence in himself when he struggles is a big factor with him. When he is confident he has a swagger to his game.

I think he will need to get rolling a bit before he starts playing better. He got so far down in the dumps last year that his lack of self confidence became a self fulfilling prophecy.

Another strong game from Nik 15/5/4 with a couple treys and no turnovers. This tournament might just be the confidence boost he needs coming into the season.

He needs to get minutes and opportunities and then his confidence and rhythm will follow. I see him struggling to start the season but he'll eventually get his rhythm to close it with a good season with us.

Wait. So Stauskas has a higher points per possession than Wiggins? This really shocks me. I guess Stauskas just shoots more times he's in the game as compared to Wiggins.

You're misunderstanding. Possessions per game is how many possessions that particular player uses per game and then points per possession is how efficient they are with those possessions.

Stauskas has been efficient averaging 1.308 points in the 9.8 possessions he uses per game. Wiggins has not been averaging only 0.968 points in the 15.5 possessions he uses per game.

Stauskas has been efficient, Wiggins has not been.

Ah thanks. Got it. But this could be misleading without looking at how the game unfolded. For all we know Wiggins may have been doubled or defended better and Wiggins driving or someone else driving could kick it out to Stauskas for an open look. Teams may not have guarded Stauskas as tough as Wiggins or may have put a weaker defender on him. Regardless this still seems positive for Stauskas.

Maybe Wiggins is just not an efficient scorer for he takes a lot of challenged mid range jumpers where he can shoot over people because of his superior length and athleticism.

While stauskas is a good three point shooter who gets his shots off screens and mostly wide open spot up opportunities.

I saw him shoot the lights out in his backyard on YouTube...
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.
