About this. I assume there will be no 17 and 10 game losing streak to start and end the season respectively. I also believe we are more talented.

I'm not sure why you would assume no 17 game losing streaks. There's a reason we started so poorly. We were a really young roster with very little NBA experience and very little playing time together. That all still applies this year. Our start will not be pretty. At least last year we had MCW running the point for most of the season and while he does have flaws in his game, he is a legit NBA pg. The offense will probably start off really shaky with the guys we have running point this year.

Cleveland 60 (only 1 vote) (I'd say under about 55)
Chicago 50-54 (I'd give them 50, they played good even when Rose was out. )
Toronto 50-54 (Patterson and Jonas in the back court :noway: No bench)
Miami 50-54 (Wade, Bosh, Stat and Lou are all injuries waiting to happen. If they can stay healthy throughout the season then 50-54)
Atlanta 50-54 (Carroll swapped for THJ :noway: does Thabo come back healthy?)
Milwaukee 45-49 (Nice young Squad moving up, but Monroe on defense :banghead: )
Indiana 45-49 (losing West and Hibbert hurts more than people think, Hill and Turner replace them. Turner's looking good)
Celts 45-49 (over achieved winning 40-42, I don't see an improvement even with A.J. I.T should start, looked good late in the season)
New York 40-44 (dependent on Better defense improves wins, offense will be slow until All-Star break. Melo must stay healthy)
Washington 40-44 (Nene's getting old (32), dropped from 15ppg-11 and 7.5Rpg-5.5, Same with Gortot. Played pretty good in the P.O)
Charlotte 40-44 (losing Lance and gaining Batum - not bad. Can MKG, Walker, and Zeller step up?
Detroit 40-44 (Losing Monroe hurt, Ilyasova replaces him in the starting lineup.
Orlando 30-34 (Nothing lost, nothing gained, take that back they lost a defender in O'Quinn)
Brooklyn 30-34 (Brook has been injury Prone, Losing D. Will could be a good thing and a bad thing, Andrea Bargnani = bad thing)
Philly 25-29 (Outside of Okafor, Noel, and Embrid, name 3 players on their roster- Go

Knicks as good as Wizards? That's a bit of a stretch.

I actually think that Detroit may be able to be 500 or better. Less talent overall, but a better mix.

I don't see the Heat winning 50 games this year, but I suppose if everything goes perfectly for them they could.

Absolutely no way the Knicks get 40 wins

There are always so many variables to these predictions  but if Okafor has a rookie of the year type of season with Stauskas playing as a MIP type candidate. Noel, Covington and Grant Improving the way they did last year I don't see how we don't easily win 30 games in a weak East IMO even with Wroten as our starting PG.

I'm thinking 25, so I went with 25-29 on the optimistic side. I am also expecting a talent adding pick-up at the deadline this year.

Knicks do not look like a 40 win team even in the East.

Don't discount the Bobcats falling apart, that team is very weirdly constructed.

We can't go by last year's record... we were in full tank mode!!

If the tank is officially off this year... if Hinkie now says OK let's win... and BB has the green light to win... this team will win over 30 games this season... and will be getting stronger late in the season as the young players begin to gel together.

I see the bobcats making a jump this year I like their moves this off-season.

Going to predict 21 games. PG position will hold us back a lot, probably worse than last season.

Feeling 30 this year. Brett Brown will finally have some roster stability for a big chunk of the year and will coach these guys up.

The number that keeps popping into my head is 27. If they get jiggy and start feeling their oats for a little streak, maybe 31-32.

30-35 and I am pretty confident in that. I think they will be vastly improved and I don't expect 17 and 10 game losing streaks to occur.

Feeling around 22 wins. Sounds like a third consecutive depressing season, but I think there will be many more close games, less long losing streaks and maybe this team begins to lay down the foundation of an identity. Tough to do without a point guard, but I think watching Noel's second year, Okafor in the mix and some other pieces will provide for a much more entertaining season than the last two. Just not giving this squad 5-10 more wins because it's a year later.

Why just 22 ? I mean even if we play at the same winning percentage that we did last season after starting 0-17, we would win at the least 27 games. And more like 32 wins we we play at a percentage of 400 %....which is easily possible considering Noel will be entering his second full season, as well as Covington, and having the best scoring rookie Big in Okafor ? Not to mention Nik Stauskas added into the mix. ?

The 17 game losing streak was no fluke. The year before we lost 26 games straight. It's not out of the question we go on a 13-14 game losing skid this upcoming season. Last year we had MCW running the point and still started off the season awfully. This year we will have Wroten as our starter coming off a major injury. Granted Noel blossomed after the MCW trade, opposing point guards will feast on our current 1's. I love Noel and think he will only improve off of his stellar second half of last season. He's not a guy who wins you games during crunch time, however. I'm not discounting the improvement Okafor will have on this team either. Very likely he will take home the RoY award. Stauskas is a nice pick-up, but I think some people need to relax. Kid is going into his second season and people are reacting like we just signed the 2014-2015 Kyle Korver. Covington was a pleasant surprise, but he's not a starter in this league on any competitive NBA team.

22 is just a ballpark number in my mind. Could be 5 wins more. Could be 5 wins less (injuries). Also have to factor in the teams we see the most. Boston was a top team in the league post All-Star break. They've added some pieces and should improve. The Knicks will have Melo back and shouldn't be as putrid. Toronto is a top 3-5 team in the conference and added DeMarre Carroll. The West will feast on the Sixers again (we went 11-49 against the West in the past two seasons, don't see us doing much better).

I don't think my guess is pessimistic. I think it's more so realistic. If we win closer to 30 games I'd be thrilled. I think a great deal more of our losses will be close games this year. Problem being is we don't have the guys who will close games out, meaning we will be better than our record suggests. Just don't think our record will look vastly greater than the year prior.
