I hope we'll be able to use that pick for either Paul George, Westbrook or Anthony davis when their team goes futile in 3 years time while we have a solid duo of Simmons, Biid and supporting cast (Jah, Noel, Saric and co.).

Jrue is taking a leave of absence from basketball, will obviously miss a portion of the season to care for and support his pregnant wife - Lauren Holiday - while she goes through brain surgery. Hopefully all goes well.

Prayers to Jrue and his wife. That's a tough break for NOP. Without Jrue, AD is by himself again. Because Evans is hurt, and I expect Hield to be a bust and Moore and Hill to thoroughly disappoint.

The surgery on his wife won't take place until December. Which means he won't be back until after New Year's at the earliest. They are going to miss the playoffs again.

I would be all over this news if I was Bryan just like Howie was all over the Vikings. Perfect opportunity to deal Okafor. Their pick is headed for the lotto now.

Prayers for Jrue family. Don't think this breaks NOP either they have enough talent and these things have the potential to bring the team together.

Also, I'm not trading their pick for Oak. Need a heck of alot more then that. I wouldn't even trade Noel for that pick who they likely couldn't afford to resign with Asik still there. Asik is their main problem moving forward.

KP has just gained one pound since last year. It's good news for most common people.

..but seriously, that's why I'm not that high on him. If he don't add weight, he's going to get shawn bradley'd by most strong bigs and could limit his ability to finish better around the rim and get rebounds. If he doesn't add weight, he'll eventually lose his athleticism with his 7'3" frame that would limit his effectiveness. But then, it's again a difference of value projection than most.

I don't think he needs to add any more weight to play the 4, but if they want him to play the 5 he will.

probably touched in other topics but figured this one was appropriate...

Khris Middleton (left hamstring surgery) is expected to miss six months, and the Bucks are reportedly inquiring about trades for a swingman to fill the void.
Middleton's "status for the [2016-17] season is unclear," according to Shams Charania of The Vertical, and GM John Hammond said in a statement that Middleton "[will be] out for a significant period of the season." Giannis Antetokounmpo was already going to get all the minutes he can handle, and Middleton's absence thrusts more minutes onto guys like Rashad Vaughn, Malcolm Brogdon, Matthew Dellavedova and Michael Carter-Williams. That said, we won't know the full fallout until a firm timetable is established and the Bucks make any subsequent moves. Sep 21 - 8:14 PM

Wish it were Middleton that was going to be traded. I would swing Noel/Stauskas over in a heartbeat.
2023-2024 Philadelphia 76ers:

Lowry/Melton/Payne
Maxey/Hield/Downtin
Oubre/Batum/Council
Harris/Covington/Martin
Embiid/Reed/Bamba

I'd do Roco Noel if they were willing to move Middleton. I'd actually give more if he was healthy but due to the injury we would essentially be eating 15 million this season as part of the deal.

Supposedly that move was being put together before the Middleton injury...or at least I'd hope so

bosh is apparently about to be out in Miami...

his deal is 3 years at around 25 mil a year? until 2018-19. he may never play again (so the heat think)

what would be your price to "help them out"

would something like Grant for Winslow, Bosh work?
the heat would save ALOT of money...

would the sixers need to get more?

just curious if the bosh news could be something the sixers (and their cap) can take adv. of.

Insurance should cover his contract assuming he's actually done. shouldn't be an issue for the heat.

But insurance doesn't save them from the cap space perspective though, right?

Believe it gets taken off their cap at a certain point. Not sure when. Bosh may have to retire.

which if he believes he can still play (and i think that's what his camp has been saying) then maybe they will be stuck!

1 year after his last game, assuming dr.s agree he cannot play again.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
