a one year deal for 6 mill is ok...duhon can split time with lou or jrue thru out the season.

they just dont want to go beyond 1 year..thats the main point

Thanks Ming. I was just rounding in the example I gave, but this is obviously more precise. It might also be closer to something Miller may accept. The years involved could be an issue though.

Last year, RWB and Watson, example. Talented player don't need to split with average player. 6M is a big money for a second.

Can Duhon provide us with PO home-court advantage?

NP. I think the Knicks would want to preserve their cap room next year. So it is very unlikely for them to offer more than 1 year. If Miller is willing to accept 1-year 7.6mil then he can just sign with the Sixers. I am not sure but I think the Sixers will still be about 2mil under luxury tax after that.

This assumes that the Sixers and Miller still want to stay married and that Philly is even willing to go over $6 million at all. From recent comments, I wonder if Philly even wants to do the one year deal with Miller anymore.

The worst case scenario(or best case for those lottery hopefuls) is that we we barely miss the playoffs and get the 12th-14th pick. What's the point of that? Seriously...It's best that we get solid player like Duhon or Blake and try to get that 4th seed. Then give it our all in the playoffs...That's what I want to see happen. Holiday shouldn't be getting that much minutes this season anyway. Don't know if we would keep Lou or look to trade him, though.

Question is can we try? I have already asked this question)

I see like this - with bounced back EB(or surprise from other playser like Thad) Dre have been downgraded to Duhon is fatal error, with Brand continues to struggle Duhon or Blake is not a factor for 4th.

Towards the end of the last season we were still in the running for the 4th seed. I think we could be better next season...

Am told Duhon's agent is exploring a possible sign-and-trade, including with the Sixers, but the Sixers would need more than Duhon in return for Miller.

Perhaps Sixers are trying to get a pick, too -- just a guess.

Agent is Kevin Bradbury -- Duhon has $6 million left on final year of contract.

Guess it would have to be Miller.

it all depends on if the knicks will do a 3/18 deal with miller..if so..then we can do it straight up..we wont get a pick...he can just sign there outright.....for 3 years...mid level..which is more like 16-17 mill.

best we can do is straight up......i just want this over..

Well what else could we get from New York along with Duhon? The salaries don't match up so what else could be thrown in? Sene, Harrington?? Who?, What? Anthony Roberson? is he still there? I'd rather have him than Duhon. Seriously I like Chris Duhon but I not sure I want to see him run our team for the next two years which is what would happen knowing the way this front office works.

I could understand why the Blazers would consider taking on a 34 year old PG, but the Knicks? They are really far away from competing for a title. True, they might get Lebron, but by the time they can get the right players around Lebron (if they get him, a big if) it will be tune before they can put the right players around him.

Want or need? I'm guessing it's want, because the salaries should match. Unless the deal Miller would get starts at over 7.3 mil.
