Players from the Premier League are generally more expensive. Ronaldo, Bale, Suarez? Wasn't because they were English, it was because they played in the biggest money domestic league.

Anyway... GMgoran was right. Arsenal are a small selling club. Just look at us loaning Jenkinson to WHUFC.
To Dare Is To Do? 13 League Titles. You've only got 2.

It's quite hard to judge that when it comes to English players given that no English players tend to go abroad, but the idea that the likes of Carroll & Shaw can convince clubs to spend over £30 million on them is astonishing, and there's no doubt the market for English players is both inflated & broken.

Also, think it's fair to say Ronaldo, Bale, and Suarez are a few of the best players in the world. You see Falcao and Cavani move for ludicrous money too despite not playing in the PL so don't think it's necessarily the PL.

Well, none of the respectable sources has reported it so far, so it seems that "Vidal to Man Utd" is just another tabloid rumour at the moment ...

Reports are saying that Vidal to Man U is about done and happening...Agent is talking
(Not sure if these sites are legit, but the Chile papers are making it sound legit)

Arturo Vidal WILL leave Juventus claims agent - handing Manchester United transfer boost

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/footba ... e-47m-deal
Chilean newspaper El Mercurio claimed earlier this week that Vidal has already verbally agreed to join United, who will smash their transfer record by stumping up £47m to bring him to the club.
It is also understood United have tabled a four-year £120,000-a-week deal, which will double the 27-year-old's current salary.

Arturo Vidal to Manchester United: Louis van Gaal wants £47m deal completed quickly as agent discusses move with Juventus
Respected Chilean newspaper La Tercera claims that representatives of Vidal have met with Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta to discuss a deal in the region of £47m that would take the 27-year-old to Old Trafford.
Whilst it's not clear how those talks went, Gazzetta dello Sport are claiming the Chile international, who impressed during this summer's World Cup in Brazil, has already undergone a medical ahead of his proposed move.

Well, Mirror and Star are not reliable ... If they were reliable, LFC should have unveiled Reus and Pogba by now ...

As for the Independent article, you would notice that they are quoting various other sources about Utd's interest in the player, but there is no report about them even making a bid, let alone agreeing a fee with Juventus ...

They are covering their asses by sourcing the chilean papers...I mean if that is the offer and they are doubling Vidal's salary I would have to imagine he is gone...This is how the JAMES rumors got stronger

James Rodriguez was moving to the current Champions League winners ... Arturo Vidal is supposedly going to a club not even participating in the Champions League next season ... Even if he is attracted by some ridiculous wages at Man Utd, they would still need to agree a fee with Juventus, who are under no pressure to sell their star player, so they would demand ridiculous money for him ... Basically, this is still only a tabloid rumour, placed in the media by Man Utd ...

Good point, how I forget that Man U are not in Champions League. Juventes can retool and go at it next year for that UCL. No one else is really winning that Serie A

Lampard on loan to City. Guess they needed an old, plodding English CM to replace Gareth Barry.

It doesn't make sense for either Lampard nor Man City. Would hate this if I was a Chelsea fan.

Holy ****. Chelsea fans must be livid.

Never thought I'd see Lampard kit up for another PL team after leaving Chelsea.

Also, Swansea trying to sign Kyle Naughton: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... ng-swansea

Must mean we have another fullback signing in the pipeline. Regardless, PRAISE THE SUN!

Brendan Rodgers on Mario Balotelli:

“He's got all the qualities, all the talent – he's six foot three, his touch is terrific, he can score goals, and still so young,”

“He's a player if his focus and concentration is right and he leads the lifestyle of a top player, then he can play for any team in the world.”
