Not sure what's going on since I don't have time to watch the game, but Atletico is already down 3-0. Whoa.

Ronaldo is unstoppable right now. He's on a mission to break scoring records. I'm glad James is doing well despite playing further back than he's used to. Glad his defense has improved and he's doing well on the role that Carlo has given him. That clasico game later this month is going to be intense

All im interested is winning La Liga and getting a crack at UCL. Messi has bee playing great as contributor in the back. That's what we need especially when Suarez gets back.

So you really think Barca will win the league and CL?

Ronaldo's stats have been otherworldly, but I think it's inevitable he'll slow down at some point soon (perhaps too soon). Knowing the nutjob that he is, I'm worried he might wear himself out way too soon, which obviously would decrease Madrid's chances of being a serious contender in the CL and La Liga.

Having watched yesterday's game, I came away with two things:

- Bilbao have had a tough time dealing with Herrera's departure/absence. They've tried replacing him with several other guys, but no one has succeeded in playing the same role the aforementioned used to

- Madrid are significantly deadlier when both Ronaldo and Bale don't hang on to the ball too long. The unselfishness they put on display led to a lot of good chances and hadn't it been for Iraizoz channeling his inner Ochoa at times, Ronaldo would've easily ended with three MORE assists.

Messi is King wrote:Do you think Ancellotti may rest Ronaldo some games here or there? I know they would like to close the gap with Barca in the standings but you'd think RM has enough talent to overcome no Ronaldo for a couple games against bottom feeders, no?

I certainly hope he will, but it will depend on whether Real is capable of keeping up with Barca in the league. If Madrid suffers several losses, one of which possibly could come against Barca, Ancelotti could potentially crack under the pressure of being in the hot seat by then and as a result play Ronaldo non-stop.

Mathieu's getting a lot of the ball, but maybe that's not that great for Barca
