I think we should all eat crow for critizising the moves made by Southampton.

Those guys make boatloads of money for their talent, buy some guys that raise a couple question marks but still have a great start to the season.

Thought that we'd have great difficulty scoring...liked the Mane/Tadic signings, thought Long was a **** move, thought that Pelle (from what I'd seen of him in the Eredivisie) would be a flop. Uh, yeah, about that.

Next three are Hull away, Leicester home, Villa away; won't last forever, but Saints could easily hit December in the top two or three.

Has a 10m purchase clause in his loan, I believe. Which seemed like a ludicrously large sum to pay for Ryan fking Bertrand three months ago...not nearly so much now.

Only real concern is Fraser Forster. Artur Boruc was a madman who made an outrageous error every four or five games, but he commanded his area well in between. Forster's been a bit shakier, but luckily he hasn't had much to do most afternoons.

Definitely willing to admit I was wrong on that front, I mocked the Forster, Long and Bertrand acquisitions. Good for them, a very likable club. To see this, particularly after the doom and gloom of the summer, is a pleasant surprise.

West Ham on the other hand can **** off and I hope they regress to the mean as soon as possible.

Tadic and Pelle were inspired signings, Tadic in particular is involved in EVERYTHING that leads to goals it's insane.

No Costa for Chelsea, Falcao out and Jones injured in training for United...we're gonna get slaughtered.

Drogba reportedly starts for Chelsea and Fellaini does for United.
