That was soft. Hart was outside of his box when Draxler went up for the header.

Quality win!! Never thought that strong DEFENSE would anchor the well-deserved W. Merte was boss, Weidenfeller kept a clean sheet, our attack was on regardless of who played.

Headache: Hummels injured himself... questionable for the Bayern game

Edit: even worse ofr BVB, Weidenfeller just indicated that Schmelzer "was hobbling" :banghead: :banghead:

Man what a terrible performance by Belgium

Started great, created lotta opportunities and scored, but then just .. Nothing .. :-? No pressure at all, selfish play by all the offensive players, no energy .. Horrible

Japan has a great team and we didn't respect the strenght of their team, that's what makes me mad about this game. U should know how strong this team is, and don't just assume you're gonna win on talent alone.

This game again showed how important Kompany&Courtois (both injured), Hazard (subbed at half-time) & Witsel are for this team. Witsel was, as usual, the only player who played a great game. These 4 NEED to be on the pitch at all time in Brazil.

How Witsel is still playing in Russia and not in the EPL is beyond me. By far our best player of the qualifiers, completely outplaying Dembele/Fellaini who also had some time at his position.

chile are such a tactically mature team, very impressive. germany leading 1-0 at HT but chile have been the better team, by a good mile.

looking at the dutch squad... i'm honest... most of these players i've never even heard of. is that their "friendly game" experiment or is that really the next generation?

A combination of both. Van Gaal has been experimenting with several different squads on a regular basis. Every other match or so, Van Gaal calls up a few new guys. Can't blame him for doing that, especially after seeing how the previous 'generation' got man-handled in EC 2012.

Dutch midfield has been especially poor today.

Lallana absolutely needs to start. Finally a cross that had some finesse and wasn't just hammered inside.
