Game time!

I find it odd how popular both Portland and Seattle are but we don't seem to have many fans on RealGM.

I think we have quite a few on the Portland board who are Timbers fans, but I really need to chat with Billy, mojo, and DVM to see if we can work out a way to connect the two boards.

As for Seattle, well, it kinda hurts that they don't have an NBA team anymore.

Great game so far, especially for an MLS game.

Portland looks dangerous.

Fantastic game, like always between Portland and Seattle.

Easily a top 5 rivalry in all of North American sports. Vancouver just happy to be a small part of it for now.

Any update on them getting a proper stadium?

I can't imagine the atmosphere being that great in such a big stadium. Will work for a couple of years, but to be successful long term they will need their own home I think.

Yankee stadium should be packed as the hispanic community is right there and these stars are big names...It should be more exciting then baseball games. Lol

The new stadium I think will develop in 3 years...I think it may happen in Queens

Any update on the Bronx plan? I thought I remembered reading about the Yankees wanting a soccer-specific stadium close by to the Yankee Stadium area. Is that still an option as well, or did that die with the dozen other proposals?

Wiki has a whole page dedicated on the topic
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_City_FC_Stadium

In December 2013, the team and Mayor Bloomberg's administration were close to an agreement over a $350 million stadium near Yankee Stadium. However, Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio, who replaced Bloomberg in January 2014, expressed opposition to the deal, as it involved tax breaks, public financing and a sale or lease of public land. The plan requires buying land currently occupied by a factory, which would have to be rebuilt at another location and demolishing a parking garage, potentially leaving the city responsible for its $240 million debt

Seattle is really starting to pull away from the rest of the league in the Supporter Shield standings. RSL has really had a big patch of disappointing results. Chivas USA is the hottest team in the league.

When did this season start to go wrong :noway:

Still a long way to go, hopefully Seattle drops off a bit and the race gets closer.

I think we can just ask Howard to link both the Timbers and Sounders to the Blazers forum, can't we? Or does the community approach only extend to baseball, football and hockey?
