Any update on them getting a proper stadium?
I can't imagine the atmosphere being that great in such a big stadium. Will work for a couple of years, but to be successful long term they will need their own home I think.
Yankee stadium should be packed as the hispanic community is right there and these stars are big names...It should be more exciting then baseball games. Lol
The new stadium I think will develop in 3 years...I think it may happen in Queens
Any update on the Bronx plan? I thought I remembered reading about the Yankees wanting a soccer-specific stadium close by to the Yankee Stadium area. Is that still an option as well, or did that die with the dozen other proposals?
Wiki has a whole page dedicated on the topic

However, Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio, who replaced Bloomberg in January 2014, expressed opposition to the deal, as it involved tax breaks, public financing and a sale or lease of public land. The plan requires buying land currently occupied by a factory, which would have to be rebuilt at another location and demolishing a parking garage, potentially leaving the city responsible for its $240 million debt
