Mauricio cienfuegos and Cobi Jones are bringing the trophy. Back when I used to watch the MLS as a kid.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Glad it was Keane who scored, and not Donovan.

Well done L.A.

Yeah, just making it to the finals was a huge accomplishment. Proud of our guys.

Pretty bad game all around. Jones, Shuttleworth, and Keane were the only decent players. Landon looked AWFUL. Nyguen was a shell of himself. Just some awful football from both sides.

Anyway, congrats LA.

Go Patriots, lol.

Some very good players left unprotected.

So is Mark Bloom for TFC.

No idea what they were thinking. Oh wait, I actually do considering who's running the team.

Wow, shocked that we kept Bloom. I thought he was gone for sure.

Fan base had been freaking out for days about leaving him unprotected. Sucks to lose Daniel Lovitz, but it could have been much worse.

And now to make the draft seem pointless...

Somewhere deep inside Providence Park, Gavin Wilkinson is grinning from ear to ear. :)

After signing Kwarasey from the Ghanaian national team, they were hoping to lose Ricketts and his salary in the expansion draft.

I'll call it right now. The Timbers will be beastly this year.

Cubo Torres to Houston after his six month loan to Chivas is up. Great move for them and glad he's sticking around MLS.

Its also nice to hear Mexico NT manager Herrera back up Cubo for staying in MLS. He said MLS is a great league for a young player like Torres to develop. It won't hurt his NT opportunities any as long as his form stays. Thats the kind of thing you'd want to hear from the guy running the USMNT

If you like MLS soccer click the link and chime in what a great idea it is to expand the forum.

Hi everyone,

Tomorrow I need everyone's help in a bid to expand the forum and attract new members to our area of RealGM.

I have been in discussion with the RealGM staff about expanding the forum to include both a separate English Premier League Forum & Major League Soccer forum.

If this happens the forums would be set up in this manner:

The General Soccer Board
English Premier League Forum
Major League Soccer Forum
Wiretap Headlines Discussion
Articles Discussion
Polls Discussion

Here's how you can help. Howard Mass will have a thread tomorrow to gauge interest in a bunch of new forums. Those will include the two soccer forums that will expand this area. Even if you don't follow both leagues, help our soccer fans and vote for both league forums to be added.

It's that simple and will really help attract more users to the Soccer area of RealGM. Let's return this board to the active weeks of the World Cup. Please vote for both the Premier League & Major League forums to be included in the RealGM expansion.

Steven Gerrard set to leave Liverpool, Major League Soccer could be next

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard could go public with his intention to leave Anfield as soon as Friday, and a number of Major League Soccer teams appear ready to pounce.

That’s according to a number of reports that emanating from England on New Year’s Day saying that Gerrard – the iconic 34-year-old midfielder who has played for Liverpool since 1998 and spurned interest from other clubs repeatedly in the past – has informed the club he will not sign a new contract at the end of the season.

Gerrard is expected to issue a statement on Friday morning in England saying that this season will his be his last with the club, and he will use the coming months to decide on what the future holds.

Liverpool have already offered their captain a new contract beyond this season, but Gerrard has declined to accept.

Gerrard’s name has been linked to a number of MLS teams in recent months – Toronto FC and the New York Red Bulls chief among them – but the Daily Mail reported on Thursday that the defending MLS Cup champion LA Galaxy are the frontrunners to bring Gerrard on board this summer.

Revs could definitely be a possible destination given the Liverpool/Boston connection. He'll probably end up at LA or RSL or something though.
