How do you come out after half, up a man, with possession, and immediately give up a goal lol

Trash Maritimo

Maritimo played like they didn't even want to win this.

Talisca is money from those free kicks though

Well, looks like Benfica's championship again unless they lose next week to Nacional and Sporting beats Braga.

I agree. I want to be patient with the kid, but he has the makings of a good one. And lord knows it's a position of need.

O seleção has a pretty good future lined up.

Another one for André Silva! Could be a nice 3 man race this year between Silva, Jonas and Slimani

I thought Slimani wanted away?

I've read that his agent has been shopping him to EPL clubs like mad for months and that he had turned down signing a new contract is that just clickbait lies?

Sporting can't afford to sell Slimani right now, they have literally no other strikers. Sporting is holding out for big money for their marquee guys, unless they get huge offers the majority of them are likely to stay.

Slimani is going to be a tough case, I think, he wants to get paid, and he deserves to be, but he's also at that age where I don't think anyone's really going to break bank for him you know? I think what should happen is he should re up with Sporting and become the staple up front for them. I don't think there's anything to him being 'unhappy' and wanting out, but agents are agents they want their cut as much as the players do. I'm sure there's some to it, but likely click bait. I take a lot of reports about drama with SCP guys with a grain of salt, the papers like to stir this stuff up with Sporting, it sells papers.

I think everyone needs to be patient, play out the season. They were 2 points out from championship last year. They have a shot again this year with this core, that coupled with champions league money and Sporting should be able to move some of the core and be able to bring back sufficient replacements to sustain. But if they blow their wad now, it'll be too soon.

What a half from Bruno Varela against Benfica. Some big saves. I had Benfica thrashing Setúbal like 4-1 but they've held their own so far.

Benfica was the better team today but they're lucky to come out of that with 1 point, they were gifted that penalty IMO. Nuno Pinto touched the ball first. Bruno Varela man of the match though. Benfica runs away with this one if he doesn't come up with those big saves.

Looks like João Mário may not be off to Inter after all due to Inter Milan's Finacial Fair Play issues.

Inter should just liquidate at this point.
