Just watched the second half HL. Dunno what to think. Would have been more than happy with a draw before the game, but really should have taken all 3 :(

agreed. a tie was looking like a great result at halftime. really disappointed that we couldnt control more of the game after the red card, particularly once lamps scored.

It was clear what our plan was before the game, sit back and counter but we couldn't really get it going, Willian was getting hacked within an inch of his life, Hazard the same and was doing his best but was usually isolated once he got past the half way line and Mangala and Kompany played out of their skins today and help keep Costa really quiet.

Really should've taken it more to City after that red but we didn't play well enough. Even after the red

Kind of hope so too. I don't know why Leerdam is finsishing so badly, it's actually ridiculous.

van GInkel injury not as bad as thought initially, only going to miss about 3 weeks.

How did Ake play last game? Does he have a future with Chelsea you guys think?

Traore just passed it to Wallace for the 4-0. Things finally going our way.

Game finishes 6-2. DIdn't see parts of the 2nd half, but glad we finally finish our chances. This was actually one of our lesser games, defence didn't look strong at all.

Traore and Wallace were both pretty impressive. As usual, you can just see the talent that Traore has, he just really has to refine his skills because he is very raw right now. Wallace played well offensively, not too great defensively though. Very servicable attacking LB

It's a big problem for Chelsea that Costa cant play CL games. Remy/old Drogba aint enough against the big boys in Europe.

If we are facing the big boys of Europe, Costa will play. He's being rested because at the moment PL is the priority.

Why can't he? He's just being rested during the group stage, no?

Because of his hamstring. Cant play twice a week.

Yeah so once it comes to the big important games of the CL, you can bet he'll be playing

But then he cant play the PL games.

Unless Chelsea wrap up the league in march, but i dont think that's happened in the Premier League before.

This is assuming he's still not fully recovered by then. It's supposed to be getting better because he's being rested right now.

Plus the next international break if he doesn't get called up for spain

He'll have plenty of time to rest and nurse the injury

Mourinho seemed to imply Costa needs 2 weeks rest on his hamstring to get back to full fitness. I think that's absolutely fine, I'm sure we'll see him get that in the coming weeks.

I'd like to see more of Remy anyhow (I don't trust Drogba anymore...)
