Looks like another loss for Vitesse, although it's not the blowout loss most expected. If their owner was Roman, Bosz would have been fired at least 5 times.

Yep, true.

If we don't get a win the next game against Excelsior, Bosz should be fired. His system is just way too complicated for the players, you can see they're not comfortable with it. They always make problems out of harmless situations. We have been very unlucky in a few games, but we haven't won for half a year now I think, going ack to last season. That's completely unacceptable for a team with these players at it's disposal, and after a while, the story of "good play, chances created but just missed" combined with the amount of completely unneccesary mistakes at the back will get old and changes need to be made.

It really sucks to support a team in lesser divisions sometimes lol. I guess one of the only positives was that 17 year old Kevin Diks hasn't been much of a liablity in his first 2 competitve games, he held his own against Depay. That's something I guess.

van Ginkel off to AC Milan for the season. Interesting move, he's really going to have to fight for minutes there too, starting spot is far from a given.

So by my reckoning here's our final squad:

Goalkeeper:
Thibaut Courtois / Petr Cech / Mark Schwarzer /Jamal Blackman

Left-back:
Filipe Luis

Right-back
Cesar Azpilicueta
Branislav Ivanovic

Centre-back
Gary Cahill / Kurt Zouma
John Terry / Andreas Christensen / Nathan Ake

Central Midfield:
Nemanja Matic / John Mikel Obi
Cesc Fabregas / Ramires

Attacking Midfield:
Eden Hazard
Oscar / Willian
Andre Schurrle / Mohamed Salah

Striker:
Diego Costa / Loic Remy / Didier Drogba

24-man squad, give or take some squad registration issues.

I'm pretty comfortable with our depth, at this point. Significantly stronger than last year plus I'm exceptionally optimistic about Costa after being somewhat on the fence prior to the season.

Blackman to Middlesbrough on loan

Hope he gets playing time soon especially considering their GK situation.

I can't find a stream to watch the Vitesse game, but I'm pretty sure only Wallace is playing for Chelsea. 3 changes have been made. Dauda, Olynyk, Achenteh come in, Traore, Van der Heijden and Qazaishvili out.

Oh and Diego Costa has obviously been fantastic, I think you guys are definitely the early favourites to win the league. Great play again.

Maybe Vitesse has their own Costa with Abiola Dauda? He's scored 2 for us this game, 2-0 with about 30 minutes to go. No reasaon we can't win against Excelsior. Still can't find a stream.

I was openly sceptical of the Costa signing. Partly because he appeared to have been a one-season wonder, partly because of his ongoing hamstring issues, and partly because we're Chelsea, so buying a good striker is a far-fetched scenario rather than a reality.

But, he has looked great for us. Such a clinical finisher, confident, brilliant off the ball.

I've always rated Fabregas as a player but he has even exceeded my expecations. Mourinho really knows how to use him. His link up play with Costa has been fantastic.

Costa / Fabregas / Hazard have been brilliant to start the year. Remy took his chance. Willian, Schurrle and Oscar are yet to hit their stride. I'm optimistic.

I am a little concerned about Fabregas-Matic midfield against better opposition. They leave way too much space between the lines. Silva will kill us this weekend if that continues to happen. I would let Matic sit deep and play Fabregas, Oscar and Ramires like against Swansea in the second half

I agree, but we've got the pieces to afford us that flexibility now. Ramires is an important piece of the team though.

1-1. Usual story.

Wallace was pretty good, showed some great flair and creativity on the ball, although he is prone to making unneccessary mistakes and taking too many risks. Not a liabilty on defense but not that great either. He knows how to use his speed to his advantage.

Traore came on for about 15 minutes, but he seems to have dropped in the pecking order, Labyad started at his position and was later replaced by Ibarra. Traore didn't show a whole lot other than the fact that he is very selfish. Looks to shoot first, pass second.
