You are fooling yourself if you think Messi is much or at all better than Suarez at this point.

I get it, he has Iniesta and Xavi passing him the ball and World Class strikers to convert his passes.

I don't see Messi having any better of a season for Liverpool than Suarez has.

How many players have carried their team to the finals of the world cup?
Zidane and Fenomeno were much more skilled and talented than guys like Di Stefano and Puskas. IMO kind of weird you rate Messi with Pele Beckenbauer and Cruyff but not Zidane or Fenomeno. Those two are widely considered to be right up there with Pele and Maradona at the top.

Michu has scored as much as Suarez this season and he doesn't even have the Welsh Xavi or Scousiesta passing him the ball. By your logic he should be better than Messi too.

Yes. Messi's impact is far superior to Suarez'. I am a big fan of Suarez, but he just doesn't change the game like Messi does.

Really, the little midget with average speed and no upper body strength ?

I think Messi would be exploited playing in the EPL. Or many leagues for that matter which is why he's struggled in UCL of late. Surround Suarez with Pirlo, Schweinsteiger, Lewandowski and Bale and how do you think he'd perform ?

Like Aguero has been exposed last year?

Messi's stats are inflated due to Barca's great team but there is no reason to believe he couldn't score 30 goals in an EPL season.

What makes him special is that the ball is sticking like glue on his feet. You don't need to be super fast or super strong if you have the best ball control on the planet. :dontknow:

If Messi's speed is average I would need slo-mo to watch fast. He's a midget and plays for a band of other cheating midgets but the guy single handedly destroyed Arsenal in the champions league and owned United twice in the final. Only premier league team he had trouble against is Chelsea.

I mistyped my top 4 initially, it should be Pele, Maradona, Beckenbauer, Cryuff. The not close to the top 4 part was directed at Zidane n Messi.

Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima is ahead of Messi and possibly even Zidane.

He won it all and suffered devastating injuries throughout his career. He is a combination of Zidane's World Cup success combined with Messi's Club success.

If someone thinks Messi would score 30+ goals in EPL or Serie A, please stop watching football.

Without that tik tak mentality, system and rest of the team, he is nowhere close to Cristiano Ronaldo.

I like how we use Messi's teammates against him and act like Ronaldo has been surrounded by scrubs his entire career. The guy has played for 2 of the biggest clubs in the world for 10 years, yet he has managed to win less than Messi.

Again, I am not in to make this Messi vs Ronaldo, but I just like the hypocrasy of the arguments being used against Messi.

Lol good point. He siad Yilmaz would score 30 in the EPL, but Messi wouldn't. I guess Yilmaz is better that Messi.

I do wish Messi would play in a differet league to see how he would do. Messi is the closest player to Maradona that I have seen in regards to playing style. I am sure he would do well in Serie A

I have lost all respect for you, dude.

You act like EPL defenses are great when they are not.

Michu this season and Kun Aguero last have proven that PD players can keep their scoring record at the same or an even better record than in the PD.

Put Messi in a system where he is featured as the lone striker and he'll give you 30. His numbers are inflated. He won't score 50 like in PD last year but he'll certainly give you 30.

Man, it would be awesome to see Messi in the EPL, just not for City.

If QPR somehow manage to stay up, I'd put my money on Redknapp making a bid.
