So Barcelona, Spain, Bayern Munich have never held on to the ball just to see out a game? By your definition that's parking the bus, in Spain's case, see 2010 World Cup.

Not saying we played tiki-taka yesterday, but that 2nd half was a half decent demonstration of the defensive tiki-taka that Spain employs a lot, again refer to the possession and passing stats. Just held on to the ball, we weren't going to concede as long as we had the ball.

Yesterday going by the thread, people were generally entertained by the first half, yes we took our foot off the pedal in the second but we were comfortable then with the 3 points, no point taking a gamble and risk conceding a goal, I'm not gonna lie I was barely paying attention in the 2nd half but like I said we were comfortable. But hey, at least we didn't employ the hoof ball tactics ;)

In regards to Liverpool, admit they were parking the bus by your definition then. Then I'll admit Chelsea parked the bus too.

Holding the ball and defending for an entire 2nd half of the game against the weakest team in the competition ? Not having a single shot on target for an entire 2nd half of the game ? No, I have never seen Spain, Barcelona or Bayern Munich doing something even remotely similar to that ...

Probably don't watch enough games then, funny how the tables have turned

Must've also missed the 2010 World Cup then, considering that they won each of the knockout stage games 1-0, and had an average of 1.1 goals per game for the entire tournament (8 goals).

Not that they were defending, but it's hard to imagine them with the quality of players they had and those paltry numbers to say that they weren't holding onto the ball and seeing the games through don't get me wrong they must've tried to add to their lead but you don't have 4 consecutive 1-0s without holding onto the ball to see a game through. Which was pretty evident if you saw it, man that was a terrible World Cup.

And with that, I bid you good day sir.

Good 20-25 minutes of football against the weakest team in the league, and Chelsea are now playing like the World Cup winners Spain ... You must have been really starving for some good football under Mourinho ...

Wasn't even comparing the two in that post, just pointed out the fact that Spain in 2010 were pretty dull to say the least and you can play defensive whilst having the ball because of a simple fact that without the ball the opponents can't score, but whatever floats your boat buddy, both Chelsea and Liverpool parked the bus then. Good day

It doesn't matter how you play, but only if you win in the EPL. 3 points and we got it.

Mourinho has been known for his counter attacking style. If you don't like it, it's your choice, but I enjoy it deeply.

Well, Simeone has already proved that he is a better manager than Mourinho ... As for their 3 best players, have you asked yourself why Mourinho hasn't started Filipe Luis today? To give you a clue, it has something to do with the weak point of your system that Simeone has discovered and exploited ...

What did Simeone accomplished in his career than Mourinho hasn't accomplished yet? Mourinho has 2 CL, epl-serie a and spanish league with tons of other championships. What did Simeone win so far? Spanish League. Mourinho already did that tripled that 2 times with different leagues.

Scoring three in 17 minutes or whatever it was is impressive, not to mention it came right on the heels of being scored on.

Going up 3-1 thirty minutes in and seeing the game out is a mark of composure imhimo (Crystal Palace?). Matic and Cesc dominated the whole game, I thought it was entertaining.

Spain in 2010 was the most dull team of all time. **** hated watching them.

Mate, I am not a great fan of fantasy football games or computer games ... I understand and accept that the younger football fans like them, but I am more interested in real life football ... :D

Barça with Pep never played what you call "defensive tiki-taka". Actually despite several players where the same, that Barça (not current Barça) was very different to Spain. They both attacked using the ball, but the pace and speed of it was worlds apart. Barça used the ball to attack and create chances, Spain to maintain possession, open opponent lines and be safe behind.

Of all the crazy stuff there, I think the most egregious offence is his shirt collar.
