Kompany is really good against top strikers. Suarez, Lewandowski, Costa, Van Persie.
Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Toni Kroos, Pep Guardiola, Ernst Happel, Joachim Löw.

its unfortunate we will be missing out on these Man U displays in the CL, im sure some teams could really use the free 3 points.

United are what their squad says they are - Amazing going forward & Highly questionable defensively. Given the current state of the division, that will be enough to seal a top 4 spot. Their only competition is Liverpool really. I would be delighted if they both missed out somehow, but it won't happen.

We were utter **** today. It was AVB stuff.

Chelsea are going to run away with the league title. With some fine-tuning in midfield, they could win the CL as well.

its looking that way unfortunately... lots of time left for someone else to get their act together though. Injuries will play apart as well.

and yeah mangala was impressive , first time seeing him and he's a monster. Strong , fast. Just needs to sharpen up his marking , and defending corners and he could be a player.

I don't agree, I think we can still compete and push them to the limit. This is IMO the best Arsenal team since 2005, talent is all there, Wenger just has to use it correctly.

I don't see an attacking core of Ramsey-Ozil-Sanchez-Walcott as being any worse than Cesc-Hazard-Oscar-Costa.

Chelsea's only clear advantage is DM.

i dont get it, did you not watch the dortmund game? the difference between your defense and chelsea's is night and day. playing ozil down the middle doesnt really solve any of arsenals defensive problems.

arsenal simply are not good defensively and szcz doesnt exactly inspire confidence. i dont think your midfield compares to the best of europe either, i think both italian clubs are better honestly (granted those are the strong points of both teams).

I partly agree here. I can see them struggling against top teams even offensively, just because the links and passing power between the several parts are not good enough. In my opinion they will struggle to make it top four. Not that one of the other teams competing for the top 4 spot looking to good, it is just that the structure of their squad is just really bad (not the quality of some of their players).

Even if you I agree to that (which I don't, by the way), others have already pointed out our defensive / goalkeeping advantage. But beyond that, Arsenals next midfielders/attackers in line are Ox and Giroud. Chelsea's are Willian & Schurrle.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

Arsenal is significantely worse than City & Chelsea.

Starts with that they have a lot of injury prone and also mentally weak players.
Goes on with them not having a top class striker. Giroud, Sanogo & Welbeck lol. Campbell might be the best one but he doesn't get minutes.
The defensive midfield with Arteta & Flamini could use a heavy upgrade.
Furthermore Wengers tactics in important games seem to be bull***.

Ends with Arsenal having only TWO and I repeat TWO CBs on the entire roster and one of them is tall, slow and shouldn't be used against quick strikers.

With all due respect Arsenal isn't competing for the Premier League title. They have problems everywhere. Manchester City & Chelseas rosters are just MUCH BETTER CONSTRUCTED!

Fully agree we need another CB , A huge Upgrade at CDM and at least one striker to become a 20-25 league goal scorer. Basically a new spine lol. 2nd/3rd place is possible though if our attack picks it up and we avoid too many injuries.

Sanchez is a good addition but 35 mil. € for two RBs and 20 mil. € for a striker with a poor scoring record is mind blowing.

FB is normally a position where you can easily develop an own player. You don't have to be super skilled to play there. Just gotta be a great athlete, decent speed/technique and a pitbull attitude.
It's not even an requirement to be 2-footed since you are going to cross with the left foot as left back and right foot as right back the majority of times.

Dont know why Sagna left (to be backup RB for City  ) but RB is really one of the last positions you should spend 35 mil. on unless you can get a world class FB and are set on all other positions.

Just my take. :dontknow:

When I said that in the beginning of the season, you guys said your defense players are unbelieavably good, mertasacker is insane, kos is excellent. After 5 weeks, you guys are saying you need a cb.

I see.

I said before the season began we needed a CB chill lol. I'm still happy with per and Kos but you need more than 2 CBs. Doesn't mean I've lost faith in them as you are trying to paint it.

Kos is sick - just a very well rounded CB. I actually like a lot of Arsenal's players, wish they were ours :'(

How's Gibbs been looking?
