Zaza is a stud. Great to know him and Berardi are likely to be at Juve someday

Juve's first dropped points of the season. Allegri's first mistakes of the season...... he obviously does not like Asamoah who is much better than Evra at attacking

Mazzarri always looks like a nerve wreck out there but yesterday he actually was near to a breakdown ! Next game is a must win for him or he's gone

Just when Italian teams looked like they were making some noise on the continent, both absolutely **** the bed. It's funny tho roma had by far the worst result yet are in a better position to advance than juve lol.

What's obvious is this makeshift defense won't work against high quality European teams. We really need castan back and Strootman for these big games over Ninja. Would like to see us buy a quality fullback in the winter window as well

it's true, both Roma and Juve failed miserably, even though Olympiakos goalie had the night of his life. But that can not be an excuse. You can not just start playing only in the last 30mins... thats just not enough in CL level.

In my opinion Pirlo shouldnt be starting in CL, the pace just got too fast for him. Its like Juve goes in 2nd gear with him and when he got subbed out for Marchisio, it was suddenly 6th gear.

for Roma on the other hand, all the compliments they got for their style of play didn't do any good. They probably thought they could just go and play Bayern the same way the play against Seria A opponents, that was suicide.

Juve should be ashamed. Sure they deserved a draw at least but what an embarrassing first half. Marchisio over Pirlo is definitely the way to go in CL

yes roma were a little bit too confident in the way they setup but the bigger problem was that literally nobody showed up outside of gervinho. our midfiled looked awful, pjanic was invisible, radja was giving the ball away and being useless, and de rossi needed a clone to cover up the mistakes of everyone else. iturbe couldnt dribble past anyone and totti couldnt even get a touch. our backline was completely exposed too, just straight up not good enough. manolas is talented but not consistent, just compare this performance with what he did against man city, night and day.

thankfully we still have strootman and castan to come back which will be a huge boost, but we still desperately need a competent fullback outside of maicon.

Juventus' CL struggles are probably a little bit overrated.

I thought they did very well in 2012-13. Outplayed Chelsea in Turin, won 0-3 against Celtic in Glasgow(tough place to win), lost to one of the best teams of the last 30 years in Heynckes' Bayern Munich, no shame in that.

Galatasaray away last year was a massive chokejob, BUT they played the later champions Real Madrid very well. Lost 2-1 in Madrid playing with 10 men for a big part of the game and R Madrid got a soft penalty iirc. They outplayed them in Turin and Casillas one of his best games for a long time, Juve dominated them.

Relax.
Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Toni Kroos, Pep Guardiola, Ernst Happel, Joachim Löw.

Moratti officially leaves inter, big news, thohir better do something soon or the fans will turn on him.

Also Pogba signed a new deal, nice bit of business for him and juve. If anyone wants him now they will have to overpay ridiculously.

Well yes, they tend to show up against bigger teams (except maybe Bayern two years ago, but Juve still looked better than Barcelona did in the semis :D ). I also thought they played great tactically against Atletico. BUT, the must wins which translate in only 1 or 0 points are the big problem. with all due respect but I think Juve has got much better players/talent than Copenhagen, Norjeland(or so...) Olympiakos and Galatasaray. With those teams the away games have always the same pattern. Juve starts slow, like they are afraid, the opponents score and then takes awihle until Juve re-adjusts to be more aggressive and actually try to create chances. Wednesdays game was a deja-vu. When they started playing there was no contest, Juve could have easily scored 4-5 goals but by then they are probably so desperate and act so hastily that they fail to score even on the easiest chances.

Roma played much better than ManCity and should have taken home the 3 points imo. I actually also think that ManCity isn't really that good (a 2-2 against CSKA when they were winning 2-0 normally doesnt happen to a big team). Roma should win at home against them and pass the group stage.

Only one victory in the last 4 games for Juve. Wouldn't call that a crisis yet, also because they have been missing goal opportunities in industrial qty (vs Sassuolo, Olympiacos, Genoa) and I remember last year Juve started their road to 3rd consecutive scudetto after losing to Fiorentina in an incredible way. But if they fail to win against Empoli tomorrow then I wouldn't be surprised to see first headlines about Allegri and how long he will last as Juve coach !

Nothing to panic about yet, but yea the next two games (Empoli + Olympiakos) will be huge for Allegri's future. IMO there is really no excuse for the recent poor results. These goal scoring droughts were a bit more forgivable when our strikers were Vucinic/Giovinco/Matri.
