I wouldn't say I dislike Italian football. It's just not doing much. The league hasn't modernized and it's hard to get behind sides in the league.

Though Roma featuring Romulus and Remus is enough to make that club watchable - and I did this year because I like Gervinho.
Lazio I liked as a kid, but not now because of their questionable supporters/players (Di Canio!).
Fiorentina are quite boring outfit. Stupid purple kits.
Napoli? Are they a big club??? Only won the league twice but seem to be a big deal.
Juventus, good squad and should look better in Europe. Don't understand the small size of their new ground.
Parma are just the club Arsenal beat in 1994.
Livorno are a cool club, but relegated.
I did quite idolize Inter Milan as a child. They won 3 UEFA Cups in the 90s, when the UEFA Cup had a more competitive structure.
AC Milan...Won a title every decade since the 50s. Royal blood of sport, but somehow not as appealing to me to get behind and watch as other major clubs.

I guess it's hard to find something exciting about the Italian league. Give me the rooting interests and I'll watch and enjoy.

Roma's a great team and they still have Totti and guys like Pjanic.
Lazio's mediocre but you can watch Klose play every third game or so.
Fiorentina should be a bit different from last season as I doubt they'll be able to hold onto Cuadrado.
Napoli's a huge club and the only one from the south able to do something. They're also the club of Maradona.
Juve seems to be investing this summer and changing the system(now 4-3-3 compared to the 3-5-2 Conte played before), to be more successfull in Europe.
Milan's got to try very hard to get back to the top etc.

Though, the biggest problem in Italy is financially as the country's in deep financial problems and that shows with less fans coming to games and less money being available to teams. Also, most of the stadiums are very old and out of date.

Juve decided on a lower capacity because they want to fill that stadium all the time and know that it's hard to get 50.000 a game during the current financial crisis.

Roma are building a new stadium as well, we are imo now one of the best run teams in italy under Pallotta, 100x better than Sensi. Inter were just bought by Thohir which will help. Milan are a mess though, nothing will change their till Berlusconi is gone.

Fiorentina will be a dangerous team if they can stay healthy this year. even if they lose Cuadrado, they will get a huge amount of money for him as it will likely be an overpay. if they can reinvest properly they might not skip a beat.

Napoli will be solid as usual.

Roma will be the big question mark this season. if we can replicate our football on the continent then we could make some noise in the CL, our midfield can compete with anyone and our defense was the best in italy. we had trouble converting our chances last season but with a healthy Destro and hopefully a big signing up front hopefully everything comes together.

Juve and Roma are the only hope for Italy right now, we have far and away the 2 best coaches and the most talented players.

Been reading a lot about all the different clubs this morning and last night. My rooting interest in Serie A this year will probably be Palermo, as I like their history, support base, and unique location as a Sicilian club. Maybe I would've picked Catania if this was last year haha.

Cagliari, Cesena, Emploi, Chievo, and Atalanta were candidates but all fell short for various reasons. Cagliari making the biggest push.

And yes, Det the Threat, I have been watching Lazio as I'm a bit of a Klose groupie myself and was glad to see him win the Coppa Italia.

Roma made themselves a bit older by getting Ashley Cole and Seydou Keita

+ Emanuelson (yuck). yeah those signings were for depth, they wanted players with CL experience more than anything. i still expect another LB signing, theres no way we can play CL+league football with them playing most of the games. speaking of roma left backs:

roma

Gervinho Eto'o (Cerci, Yarmolenko, Shaquiri) one of them for sure

Strootman DDR Pjanic

cole castan banatia(he's staying) maicon

De sanctis

This squad should compete with anyone in the champions league and might even be better than barca this year, I know they got suarez but he wont fit, especially in that system.

Real, Bayern, City and maybe chelsea are clearly better. They will be on par with Arsenal, BvB, Juventus, p$g.

Destro/Totti will definitely be ahead of whatever striker we buy (probably one of drogba/eto'o on a free).

im still hopeful we buy a left back to compete with Cole. after getting sanchez/khedira i think arsenal will be better than us if they can just get a half decent striker. probably will still be better than us with giroud.

Rumor is we are also a lock for Carrasco from Monaco, only 20 years old, i dont know much about him honestly, but hes belgian and they seem to be producing nothing but quality players..

Reason Conte resigned is probably that Vidal is already sold, and i dont think Pogba will be far behind him.

La Gazzetta dello Sport says Vidal to United is very very close for 44 million euros.

Apparently, Conte was miffed about Vidal and the fact that neither one of Alexis or Cuadrado could be signed. Nothing on Pogba yet, though i'm sure rumours will surface soon.

Weird timing unless he resigned to take over the national team

Yeah this doesn't make sense. Something must have pissef him off (most likely sale of Pogba/Vidal)or he got the offer of a lifetime.
