If Welbeck gets regular playing time up front, he will be the best thing that ever happened to them. Arsenal fans, remember that line when Ozil, Sanchez, Walcott, and Cazorla start producing like crazy, and pundits & fans are making vague statements about the offence finally clicking.

our net spend isn't that big. Its around 30M I think , got money for vermaelen , dgorou , fabregas , vela , and eisfeld .but yeah we weren't going to get him with united paying 346K a week and a loan fee.

i'm down for welbeck , but only if its permanent. Not training him for united

Sounds like Welbeck is actually pushing for it to be permanent.

Looks like Ignasi Miquel is about to be sold to Norwich, which tells me we're going to sign a CB. Hoping Coquelin and Sanogo are on their way out as well. Would like to see Ryo on loan as well.

que? Moutinho wouldn't fix your defense, but your midfield still needs a great passer at the 8 to link things, and Herrera is unlikely to be ready for that role right off of the bat, plus your midfield lacks depth anyway. Moutinho, di Maria, carrick, blind and Herrera would solve your midfield woes and leave just that joke of a defense.

Bigger need for a proper #6 in my eyes, I have more faith in Herrera's ability to excel as a #8 than Blind's as a #6.

Fair enough, I've got it the other way around, especially with carrick around once he gets fit and schneiderlin leaving for a new club in the next two windows.

Actually, I believe they denied that they were working on a deal to take Welbeck on loan. Haven't seen anything outright denying a permanent move, but have seen rumors about Welbeck wanting to make the move permanent.

Need a defender too , I think thats an even bigger need than a forward. We have 6 and 2 of them are made out of glass.

That would be an overpay. Wenger rarely overpays so I doubt it. At the moment.

Vela was 15m, i think. Transfermarkt didn't have those two numbers (probably because they edited the original transactions which affected previous windows' numbers), so net spending should be around €42m for the summer.

Huntelaar is already 31. I think Welbeck's better value even considering the English premium

In the category of moves I don't understand, why arsenal didn't bring back vela still baffles me. Don't wanna go out and get lacazette for some reason? Fine, but vela was a no brained who could start next to Sanchez and theive.

Why would you take a risk with a player who previously failed to shined for you just because he did so in a distinct environment when you stand to make millions for him out of nowhere?

Not to mention, he's not the sort of player they need.
