glad we got an important 3 points to shorten the gap at the top. I knew the minute I'd seen Barcelona's lineup that we'd get em, even after we went down early. The combo of Xavi/Busquets/Iniesta was too slow in midfield, and the defence lacked a quicker fullback like Alba (but if he'd played, they would have lacked even more height in the defense and possibly conceded another off a cross).

Isco was my MotM today, with Ramos and Benzema a close 2nd and 3rd. They worked their asses off. I'm gonna go broke but I really need their jerseys

They're actually more of a direct team now but okay lol. Real is just superior in all aspects at the moment. Barca need another dynamic midfielder , to replace pique , and upgrade their fullbacks to get to real level lol. They could still win the league though with this team

beIN was a little shaky at points today though M.I.K

Misse the game. I was planning to watch when I got out of work, but I fell asleep. Can someone give me a rundown of it?

Suarez pinged the ball across for Neymar who cut in on to his right foot and slotted into the bottom right very early in the game. Aside from another cross into the box which Messi missed/Casillas saved, Suarez didn't do much.
Messi picked up a yellow quite quickly after two quick fouls on Modric and Kroos. Madrid's attack began to threaten and came close with no goal. Bravo made some nice saves but after a few minutes, Pique handled the ball to give away a penalty about 10 minutes before half time which Ronaldo converted. After half time, Madrid took the lead fairly quickly off of a lovely corner cross from Kroos which Pepe headed in. Barca made some subs to try to give more speed (i think it was Xavi for Rakitic) but they ended up overcommiting to the offense and tiring themselves out a bit too much to no avail. One of Barcelona's corners was quickly cleared out and Isco dispossessed Iniesta of the ball with some brilliant pressing before finding Ronaldo. CR on the counter opted to pass it to Benzema instead of shoot. Benzema played a nice one two with James and found himself clear on Bravo, scoring our 3rd from a low shot that bounced off the inside post.
After that the game was pretty much done.

Do you guys think Kroos could end up having a better career than Xavi and Scholes?

I would say Kroos is a better player than Xavi at the same age.

I wouldn't rule it out but Scholes and Xavi made their legacy at one club which adds to their prestige. Kroos probably could have achieved that same status if it weren't for Pep taking over at Bayern and bringing over Thiago. That being said, in terms of talent he's not behind those two when they were 24 years old.

Benzema is brilliant. James' left foot shots are incredible. Ronaldo is Ronaldo.

Barca's defense looked completely carved up on the goal. Tough day up front hitting the woodwork so many times but with the forwards they have, it shouldn't have been a problem.

Expecting Sevilla will lead the league after tomorrow's fixtures, but i'm enjoying us being top of the table for a few hours :D
