The deflection off Mario's back made that go in. Hart would have saved it otherwise

Lolololol, 18-year old Zahovic in stoppage time with the equalizer. His pops' ego is going through the roof tonight.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

Fernandinho steps on his left foot and pulls him with his left arm. He exaggerated it like he always does, but it's a foul either way.

Oh hush, much more fun to pretend that Robben never gets fouled.

Anyway, how the **** did Chelsea only draw against Schalke with that back four? At RB they had their third string box to box midfielder, at CB they had there starting and backup 6, and on the left they had their third strong LB who has played more winger than FB recently.

I was expecting at least a 4-2 win for Chelsea. That's just an embarrassing result and the worst from any of the EPL teams on match day 1.

He's right though. Most embarrassing english team by far. Schalke is awful at the moment.

Obviously you'll be fine moving forward, but today was undeniably weak.

I am just happy no one got injured. Just wish Ivanovic was given some rest ahead of Sunday's game.

can't be worse than us getting smashed in surely. Shoulda lost by 3-4 goals to a dortmund side missing top players. No fight from us too , could barely string 5 passes.

how could a draw in a weak group be worse than Arsenal getting dominated by (and losing to) a team that in theory shouldn't be much better than them at all?
It's not the first time Schalke would do well in this tournament while being sub par in league

Yeah, Arsenal has been the worst English side. Still pathetic from Chelsea though

Arsenal lost to a superior side at their ground. Chelsea drew a much inferior side at home. And the players missing make Chelsea's result even worse, as BVB may have missed Reus, mats and Kuba, but Schalke didn't have their first or second string back four and ended up using 3 midfielders and a winger in defense. While having their backup LB playing the 6.
