An in form Ronaldo would've easily buried that. Come on, son.

Ramos hurts himself attempting a bicycle kick.

Classic Ramos.

Congrats to Real!

Sevilla couldn't do anything, at least their fans are awesome.

Kroos and James look well integrated in the squad. This lineup will be fun to watch in La Liga games.

Xabi Alonso is still my hero

Nacho also jumped down from the stands to go celebrate with his teammates on the field, but as he isn’t as well known as Xabi, he was detained by security on his way back to the stands. As everyone’s attention was focused elsewhere, no one even noticed he was missing. As such, Nacho missed the rest of the overtime, including the last two goals.

:rofl2:

Poor Nacho

Lol shouldn't he have a lanyard with credentials ? Loooool

That sucks.

I'm interested whether Ancelotti will play Kroos and Modric next to each other in big games.
Playmaking wise this is probably as good of a DM as you can potentially hope for and there are only a couple teams in the CL who might be good enough to exploit the defensive shortcomings of Kroos/Modric.

I expect to see the lineup from yesterday mostly in La Liga, and possibly the group stage/early knockout stages of CL. In big games I'd expect Di Maria/Kroos/Coentrao in the starting XI (Kroos or Modric taking Xabi's spot in the 4-4-2) and James/Isco/Marcelo subbing on for them in the second half. Those trios are the right blend of defensive workrate, offensive creativity, and discipline. With Xabi slowing down, I think Kroos and Modric might be our best two to play in the deep midfield unless Illarramendi comes a long way in the next few months.

I was worried about finding playing time for our midfielders but we've got 5 more trophies to win this season and outside of a striker, we've reinforced our lineup to be able to win as many of those as possible.

Edit: a better indication of how we play in big games this year will come in the next few weeks in the Spanish super cup against Atletico Madrid.
