I guess I'll go first

Montolivo goes out and Iturbe comes in to provide a bit more of a threat up front.

wings seem to be poeman's only strength so we need more tracking back on the flanks, kuyt is in kruse and griezmann back to his natural position. pogba is good but he'll have a hard time battling with both fabregas and mkh, as his partner in the central midfield is not adequate. our wings should have no problem with their backs, especially in counter attacks. particularly griezmann should feast on alba who is just not a good defender. also don't see howedes and sokratis containing high energy player like ronaldo or griezmann when he floats inside.

Same lineup and tactics as usual.

Counter-attack against his team. My CB's and Toulalan can handle his strikers while my wingers and wingbacks can handle his wingers. On the other end, I don't think his defense can handle my strikers and Oscar along with wingers. Ibra should be unstoppable against his defense.

Captain: Gigi Buffon

Bench Players
ST - Antonio Di Natale
CDM/CM - John Obi Mikel
CB - Simon Kjær
LB - Henri Bedimo

El Turco here is he really is a one man show = Ronaldo just like how Portugal uses him. And with a defense that is beyond slow in pace...I see no way that his defense can stop my wing attack and Mandzukic. Busquets is going to be chasing left and right all game... Alba is one of the most dynamic backs that is very good at dis-possessing his opponent and sure Seamus and Alba can counter if given the chance. Pogba has he has all Group Stage will keep an eye on Greizmann and help with Ronaldo. He has been a stallworth on containing the other team's best player

His backline of Demichellis is slower then the oldest snail on the planet, Subotic a good player but out of commission for so long lacks pace, Coentrao is a part-timer, and Debuchy had a bad habit of losing his man. What my team has is experience and great success against his squad in real life.

What have we learned with Ronaldo as a lone striker per his games with Portugal. You shut him down with speed, tackling, and heading ability and my backline has that. I'll take my deep wide attack over that defense.

If we go down then I will roll our Di Natale for Pedro for 2 strikers and if we go up then Bedimo will come in for Alba and Obi Mikel will come in as CDM.

Formation against BUCKnation

Defense:
Going with the formation and philosophy which basically got me out of the group. The defense will be incredibly hard to penetrate with Medel and Besic paroling our side of the field and helping out the defenders. Both have incredibly high motors and will run more than anyone else on the field. Cahill will put Ibrahimovic in his back pocket due to the fact that he's exceptional at doing so one on one. Sergio Aguero isn't a very good playmaker or passer, he's a do it yourself type player and that'll be his downfall. When my ball winners win the ball then the result will be a quick counter attack led by Kuba and Iniesta and the finish will be a very good scoring opportunity for Benteke or Lukaku.

Offense:
As stated, the offense will be a result of a good defense, and of quick counter attacks. Kuba and Iniesta will lead counters after one of my defensive players takes the ball away: Kuba can outpace Clichy and Iniesta can beat Piszczek one on one (if Clichy or Pizczek are even there, if they don't venture forward). Benteke and Lukaku will be a nightmare to deal with in the air or on the ground, especially when they have each other and Kuba and Iniesta for support.

When we're up in the 2nd half we'll bring in Kolasinac to be a third CB (instead of Benteke) to bunker down and make the defense impenetrable.

Pretty lame that people are voting on the kdawg/ed matchup without lineups or anything.

Having the best dm in the world, top 5 cm and probably the best young winger in the game somehow equates to one man show? Disingenuous imo

El Turco, it's a one man show tactically in this matchup. I can start ranking guys too for comparisons but you tactically left yourself open I believe.
I also appreciate your sentiments regarding my team's ability to defend. The great thing about Howedes and Sokratis (natural CBs) is they are gifted as fullbacks and played it this year as well (Howedes on LB, Sokratis on RB)

Personally, they are very capable to keep up with your attack but my ace in the hole is including Pogba as a leech on Ronaldo.

Ultimately, my attack I see has a way against the defense you posses as they will not be able to handle as you said my biggest strength and that is my wing attack and on top of that Mandzukic is hot as a red chilli pepper right now in real life.

Not disingenuous Turco, but sincere on this one.

Both of those guys are box to boxers. The elite holders are Lahm, Biscuits, Witsel and Matic, with the first two a half step up in the next two.

Yaya can be anything. Tell him to be a holder, he will do great. Tell him to be box to box, he will do great as well.

Busquets is a product of the system. He is extremely overrated and average player at his MAX.

Arturo Vidal, Yaya, Pogba, Schweini..

Now that we have had an opportunity to see the better teams in the same setting, i think Mali has the best one in the tournament. His semi against BUCKnation, assuming they get there, of course, will be the real final.

Tip of the hat to treizco and blkout as well - In my opinion, they've made some lovely alterations.
