Looks like he is indeed getting 80K a week. ABSURD. There are good players on the top leagues that are not getting this kind of money. Hope the kid is worth it

A moment of silence for Naughty Naughton's departure from White Hart Lane.

Then a year of jubilation since I never have to watch him play for us again. WOOOOOOO! You're next Ade! You sack of ****.

From what I've read he's on 40k, the 80k is if he hits all of his incentives. I'm assuming they're first team based.

Illara's headed to Bilbao for 25M (MARCA); Cruzeiro's VP has confirmed Silva is undergoing his medical and he'll have completed his move to Madrid very soon. Odd time to be replacing a true CDM (albeit one that hasn't been as consistent as we'd have liked) for more of an attack minded defensive midfielder (if that makes sense?) in Lucas Silva.

Illarra may make mistakes from time to time but he's never going to get caught out of position. Granted, that's part of what makes him the boring player a lot of Madrid fans dislike, since he lacks some of the traditional qualities that made Xabi excel in the position (strong tackles, excellent eye for the long ball), but when we've got Ronaldo, Bale, and Benzema up front, and two of James/Isco/Modric/Kroos in the middle, it's nice to have a more boring/positional player behind em :dontknow:

Also, no idea what this means for Casemiro, who from what I've heard has been solid at Porto. Even hearing reports we'll recall Cheryshev from his loan spell, and he's definitely doing well, but where the hell are all these guys going to play

That's the only way spanish clubs are allowed to sign kids that young. Hire their parents so that they have a professional reason to move their families and enroll their kids in a local academy. This happens really often with top youngins moving to clubs like Real and Barca.

that doesnt make sense at all for him to replace Shaqiri, the only way he would leave is if it was replacing ribery in the starting 11.

Does it make sense for Thomas Mueller to "sit" behind Robbery? Bayern's one of the biggest teams in the world and Cuadrado will start plenty of matches there if he joins while being paid as well as he would starting for someone else and having the best chance to win some CL trophies. For a top team like Bayern/Real/Barca top players will continue to join even if they aren't in the best 11 on paper.

With Ribery aging out, and unless they opt for Reus to replace him Bayern will be going after Draxler and/or Werner to replace Ribery in the rotation. So Cuadrado should see his role enhanced as Ribery ages and those kids are developed.

Another one of those situations where we're buying up talent to stockpile for the future and keep the player out of the hands of rivals. Understandable that people don't like the tactic as it's kind of a **** thing to do.

Though, to be fair, Bayern were just as interested and Barca tried to negotiate a deal for next summer since they're banned this window

Silva's move confirmed as well. Surprised there's been no news of Illara to Bilbao though.

EDIT: we're also going after Milan's Hachim Mastour, who United are also reportedly interested in. Talented kid, doubt he stays at Milan for long. Weird saying that, but yeah.

Bayern wouldn't worry about losing Cuadrado. There are so many youth teams to grow a player like Cuadrado such as Dortmund, Leverkusen etc etc.

Sad to see Lucas Silva leave my team.
He is a very good player.

Good luck with Real...
