Di Marzio says Man United have officially made an offer of €101m for Pogba. Juve refused and asks for €120m.

Also Mediaset Premium reporting that Pogba has said yes to United. Total agreement between the player and club.

I think Man United will pay it. So it looks like the transfer world record is about to be broken.

There's no upside. If he performs he is instantly gone after a season or two while not making financial profit. If he doesn't you paid 5 mil. for him.

I totally disagree with you. First of all, for 5m, he can turn out to be a player Barcelona does not want to get back but a completely worthwhile signing for Hamburg.

Second, if Barca do sign him back, then Hamburg have been paid 5-7.5m to take him on loan for a season or two. How is that a loss?? You have to consider the possibility that Barcelona aren't willing to sell him outright.

I just don't see the incentive to develop a player without controlling what happens with him. We were forced to run that business model for years and it's not that enticing.
You plan with a player and as soon as he's well integrated he's gone again and you have the same hole in your roster again. 5 mil. profit is not really worth mentioning these days. Gotta pay him salary, too.

Letting Barca control what happens the next two years is a huge gamble and for 5 mil. you could've gotten a talented player elsewhere, too.

20 years old but he was talked about as the "Croatian Messi" at 17. He hasn't been that good since leaving Dinamo, and hasn't even played in a competitive match for the national team.

He's young, and there's time for him to bounce back like Modric and Rakitic, but the fact that Barca is selling him (albeit with a buy-back clause) seems to be pretty telling.

Croatian media always hype up their players.

It was a big mistake Cacic didnt select him for the Euros, but you have to remember it is Mamic who decides everything in Croatian football and he wanted to have Dinamo Zagreb players in the squad so that he could sell some of them for big money(which he has already done, it looks like Pjaca to Juventus is a done deal.)

You're right about the Mamic factor, there's no way a player like Čop should've been selected over him.

But it still shows that he's on the roster bubble, and would've been an end of the bench player regardless. When he was bought by Barca and when Real Madrid was offered €12 million for him as a 17-year old, I'm sure everyone expected him to be a lot more established at this point than he is at the moment. He hasn't lived up to expectations yet (although Croatian media is annoying when it comes to hyping its national team. All you would hear from them while broadcasting Portugal games these Euros was how Croatia should've beaten them and how Croatia should've won it all).

Dortmund and Bayern agree to a €23 million deal to bring Götze back to the Signal Iduna.

Man, I really hope he can recapture that pre-Bayern form, would be huge.

We have options in midfield for the European/Domestic grind this upcoming season. Really excited for it.

Mourinho, Ibrahimovic, Pogba, Mkhitaryan. What a transfer window for Man United. Of all the clubs they've had the best transfer window by far.

I agree, it's been a good window for them. We'll have to see how all these players gel under Mourinho.

I'm most interested in Anthony Martial's progress under him, and how playing with Zlatan will open things up for him.

Pogba not worth 120million€, he's hyped. I'd cash in on it too, he's still young tho, so he can still improve for ManU. Raiola is probably the happiest of them all. The prices are just absolutely mad nowadays and it's gonna get worse with the new tv deal EPL will get. It will be hard to compete in a market like this, don't like where this is going.

The new tv deal is already here for EPL and that's why those prices are being paid.

Schürrle deal is complete. Watzke has done an great job this window.

After losing Gundogan, Mkhitaryan, and Hummels we were set to drop off greatly. Instead, we'll probably keep pace for 2nd place due to Götze and Andre, with room to grow due to the young talent brought in (led by Dembele).

Yeah, Watzke did a solid job. The one issue I see is that nobody was bought to replace Gündogan...Rode isn't in the same stratosphere.

CB position seems a bit shaky, too, but I guess odds are not too bad that Ginter will grow into replacing Hummels.

Wijnaldum is definitely talented, but a very inconsistent player. Ask any Newcastle fan, in some games he was sumptuous (4 goals against Norwich, 2 against Spurs), but when they really needed him he was nowhere to be found. I trust Rafa to sign some bargain players with that money.

Then again, we live in an age where the likes of Shelvey and Welsh Xavi go for £10m+...

Juventus and Dortmund are the winners so far in this transfer window.
Maybe United as well.
