Don't think this Argentina retirement lasts long, imo. I say he takes a break and gets back into the fold in '17 for the last run of qualifiers.

I think it was an emotional response as well. He will be back for the world cup.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

If they all truly retire, even for just for a year or 2, it would make the qualifiers that much more interesting

Smh what a loser this guy is, no xavi and inesta around to carry him to titles and he quits on his country after failing once again. People call him the greatest, but he will never be on that level.

My Chile squad back to back Copa Champs after the long drought, played better each game with their new coach, thumping Mexico to halt their 17 game lossless streak, beating #3 Colombia, and going toe to toe with #1 Argentina again. Last year was no fluke and I'm so happy La Roja won again despite going completely under the radar.

What a shame about Messi's decision. He will be back IMO, after some house cleaning is done.

Chi chi chi, le le le, viva Chile!!!

Right now, can't argue that Chile had bragging rights. They beat us plus won 2 copas.

However, last 4 games we are 1-1-2. Perfectly even. We'll see what happens next time we play them. One thing is for sure though, they are much better at owning the moment

Turkey thouuuuuu (sorry turco and natural, just trolling massimo)

So I don't know where else to post this.

Nacional beat Sao Paulo in copa Libertadores in the away game. We are now one home game away from the final

France, Spain, Italy and Portugal will be invited to play in the 2019 Copa America held in Brazil.
There is a growing desire among Conmebol chiefs to include the four “Latin” European countries.

wow... would love for this to happen.

But when no South American teams make the semis it would be embarrassing.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders
