Shame Dortmund couldnt do it against Berlin. They would be right back in it if they did.

Wouldnt count them out yet.
Bayern in the next few weeks have Augsburg away(Weinzierl does well against Guardiola, beaten him twice and they should have won at Allianz in the Hinrunde if it wasnt for the robbery of the season) and Wolfsburg away(they are in poor form and they've lost 0-3 and 1-5 to Bayern since De Bruyne left but it could still be a potential banana skin for Bayern.)
If BvB they can cut it down to 5-6 points before their clash in Dortmund next month that would be interesting. We havent really had that kind of title clash since 2012.
Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Toni Kroos, Pep Guardiola, Ernst Happel, Joachim Löw.

Even if the Bulls could've traded Rose, had they done so half of this city would've risen up and revolted on the team. Trading away the hometown "superstar" would've killed the team's relationship with the city, in a way that sticking with him and going down with the ship can't; even if trading Rose had lead them to a title.

Next year is really the year.
Ancelotti never wins league titles. If Dortmund can keep their key players and get a couple of new signings they'll win it next season. There's also the old rule about Bayern struggling the season after a major tournament even though Heynckes killed that in 2012/13.

Re: 2015-16 German Bundesliga Discussion Thread II
Watzke & Zorc don't have the ambition. That's why they failed to sign Torres when they had the chance, and will probably lose out on Yarmolenko to. I agree that next season should be a great opportunity for them, but that would meant adding Torres, Yarmo/Volland/Werner, Malli, and someone like Nordveit or Neustadter to provide depth at CB.
Unfortunately they're just too scared of spending money on another Ciro...even though they got most of the money that they spent on him back...that's why they lowballed Athleti instead of just triggering the buyout and taking advantage of their 'Thiago-opportunity'. Tuchel is a miracle-worker, but I doubt that even he can get them to show the balls that are needed for BVB to take that next step and take the saladbowl back form Bayern next year. With the necessary courage they could win the league next season, if they gave Tuchel:
Reus/Yarmolenko - Aubamayeng/Yarmolenko - Mhkitaryan/Malli (Pulisic/Passlack)
Gundogan/Torres/Castro - Torres/Kagawa (Pulisic/Leitner)
Weigl/Sahin (Merino or Orell Mangala)
Schmelzer/Park - Hummels/Bender - Sokratis/Nordveit - Pisczek/Ginter/Durm (Passlack)
to work with.

Honestly think their tie against Juventus Turin is 50-50. The big question if Pogba and Dybala can do it against Europe's elite. They havent done it yet.
I think its 60-40 in favour of Juve. Bayern are really mediocre right now. Obviously, they always have a chance due to individual class but its pretty clear that Pep has lost this team.

Watching Bayern slip up really was sad, knowing that we could've drawn closer to them had we just taken care of business.

Hoppenheim are done now. They're going down.
Dont like them but tbf to them they had a great run. 7 seasons in the top flight for such a small club with no fanbase is very impressive. Clubs from much bigger cities like Hertha, Eintracht, FCN and Effzeh all went down in that period.

Yeah, very impressive. Their financial situation had nothing to do with it.

What is so impressive? They had much more money for transfers and salaries than any of these clubs you mentioned.
Its about time they are relegated I'd say.

terrible planning by pep to announce he was leaving mid season , and signing a contract with man city. It has 2 clubs under performing now with lame duck managers. At least it gives us an edge in the title race lol

Yeah, I don't get that either.
I still remember 2007, when they were promoted into the 2nd division.
They just started out spending at least €25M on two brazilians(I think it was Luiz Gustavo and Carlos Eduardo) and Demba Ba, only traling Bayern Munich in that transfer window.
They also raided pretty much every youth academy nearby throwing huge numbers at those youth players.
On top of that, they also stated that they wanted to play young guys and exciting football and even that isn't a given anymore, as they signed Huub "clean sheet" Stevens a couple months ago.
So even though there are still a lot of games left, I wouldn't mind watching their 28 year old new coach making his debut on a Monday night.

Thibs should come back to Minnesota. I guess at close to 60 he done with the development state and wants to compete right away, though.

Blöd....errr...Bild now reporting that both United and Citeh want Mahmoud Dahoud.
I call it BS, given that Xhaka's the one signing for another team this summer(most likely EPL) and with Dahoud only playing his first season and having turned 20 a month ago, he still needs to develop before he signs with a top club.
Also, Eberl's already talked to Chelsea about Christensen but was told no or something.
Though, he came out and stated that they'll talk again in the summer and Christensen also said that he could see himself a little longer at Gladbach.
