Would not be surprised if MLSE sells off the team in the offseason. The team loses a ton of money I would bet as they only got 20 000 viewers on TV to watch the game against NE. That is less than .1% of the people who have access to that channel.

MLSE bought the team for 10 Million. Forbes values them right now at around 120 million. With the way MLS franchise values have been increasing and the strong attendance the team gets despite sucking for it's entire existence, there's no way MLSE sells them. Not to mention, they make a small profit nearly every year.

TFC has been a profitable venture for TFC to date, that is before the big splash this summer. With that said, if they sell Defoe in the winter they will be back in black again. All games this season have been sell-outs or very close to it.
I read somewhere that Larry Tanenbaum views TFC as his best chance to win a championship, and Rogers and Bell may give him that to keep him happy.

I meant sell of their higher paid players. While they get good attendance the Tv numbers suggest they actually lose money because the production costs are higher than the revenue generated by TV viewers.

You're mistaken here.
MLS just signed a national TV deal for 90 million a year in the US, and TSN has picked up exclusive MLS rights in Canada. This is a leauge with an annual 3.1 million dollar cap.
In 2012, before the new TV deals that tripled the amount of TV revenue, TFC made $31mill in revenues ($4.5mill in profits) and was valued by Forbes at $121 million.
Rest assured, MLSE is making money.

Yeah I suppose with the salaries being so low they will still come out ahead. That being said it must be polarizing to be a TFC fan.

Not that it matters much since TFC are a mess these days, but the ref just denied us of our winning goal. Terrible terrible terrible **** officiating. Ridiculous.

MLS can be a joke sometimes.
That goal should have counted. We didn't deserve the 3 points, but we earned them fairly.
