I'm on Twitter, and I just cannot believe anyone would think Nadal is actually faking an injury. There is no reason for him to hVe played as hopelessly as he did.

That aside, congrats to Stan. He's one of my favorite players, and I'm happy to see him win one. He was outplaying Rafa before the injury anyway, so there should be no minimalizing his win. It's great to see someone new win.

Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.

Good going for Stan but what a disappointing final. I also think it's stupid to believe Nadal faked an injury so early into the match just to provide an excuse for the impending loss. He could have easily turned it around in that second set...and surprisingly was able to win the third serving at 80 mph. However, It's refreshing to have someone new win.

Wow, really never thought Stan would win a major. Good for him. He earned it.

Incredible match. Question for me is whether or not Stan could have won against a Nadal who didn't essentially spot him a set. Mind you, the first set Stan came out and was defeating Rafa on pure balls and gameplan...

That's the question that will linger in everyone's mind, it sucks we'll never know the answer. Hopefully they square off again in the business end of a major.

I don't feel quite as bad anymore about Nole losing to Stan.

Interesting fact: Fed/Nole/Rafa/Andy had combined to win 34 out of 35 grand slams before this tournament. Speaks volumes about the strength of this era.
