Dowdell, Micah Downs, Sun Yue - anyone but the lesser of the Griffins.
Hell, Peter Griffin would at least be amusing

Hey - no surprise here. Check back on all the "free agent" threads and I called this move from day one.

Suns are NOT willing to trade Pavlovic's non-guaranteed contract for somebody of equal value (around 4 million) whose contract IS guaranteed. Sarver does not wanna add more salary. He wants to rid salary hence why no Pavlovic trade has occurred.

If it wasn't for the NBA rules of minimum 13 man roster - Suns wouldn't even sign Griffin because that costs money. Because there is such rule, they are going to sign him since he is cheapest option.

Enjoy your 2009 Suns:

C Frye - Lopez
F Amare - Lou - Clark
F Hill - Dudley - Griffin
G Rich - Barbs - Tucker
G Nash - Dragic

playoffs? Probably.
Win First round? Probably not.
Better than Clippers roster? Definitely not.

They could do worse than Griffin...but unfortunately they can do A LOT better

Surely a swing like Carney would make more sense?

I'm not sure what SSOL said, don't care really...

I am not an insider. I hear things that spill out of the organization from time to time a bit ahead of other peeps. I'm just saying what I hear. Take it for what it is worth.

The only big thing I ever broke was non-Suns related with Turk not going to Blazers despite reports otherwise. I can contribute to some Suns stuff and what people hear from the front-office. I'm on vacation so I'm not really reading much news right now so I don't know if it has been mentioned actively in the press that Taylor is in contract negotiations. I haven't seen it anywhere but maybe it is.

It's a dead part of the season and SSOL has her panties in a ruffle because I haven't given any news since IHG left. Uh, nothing has happened since IHG left? What do you expect? Want me to invent stuff and make it up so you can be entertained. How am I supposed to come up with things when there isn't much going on. I'm not IHG. I'm a mature professional who is doing something for nothing. Don't need your praise or your admiration. Just a fan expressing little bits when I get them.

So untwist thy panties and find another target.

I would prefer one of the far better alternatives. So would other people around the organization. There is still some possible flexibility if they are able to trade Pavs and Tucker. They are no longer wanting to develop Tucker. They think he has had his time. It's the reason they went 'meh' when he skipped Summer League. If they trade Pavs expect pick considerations and/or a dump of Tucker as well as slightly less salary coming back.

I hear it is more likely Pavs is simply cut and resigned (elsewhere) and we get the combined savings. Though if a trade comes up that's beneficial we'll do it but nothing is done yet.

Agree. Dowdell looked very comfortable with the ball and would be cheap insurance in case Nash or Dragic get injured. I don't have anything against this Taylor kid but he didn't impress me at all. He just looked really awkward out there. Any money these clowns are willing to spend should go to the 1 and 5 spots.

I really don't get it - why bother? The guy might make a roster somewhere, as an end-of-th-bench guy, but we don't need him.

This team drives me nuts ...
