The people that make the fantasy rankings are pretty crazy. Lebron hasn't been the #1 fantasy guy on many rankings for the last 3 years. He does everything...I know he started off last year not shooting threes, but he began hitting them after a month. So I don't buy the 3 point reason over KD...

DRK new email waiting for you.

The both shoot good percentages, score well, rebound well, and do just about everything.

I think the logic behind taking KD over LeBron for his threes, rather than LeBron's assists, is that assists are a much easier catergory to fill than 3's.

Yeah I looked at the stats, and it's pretty much a wash. But if we're talking two 3's per game vs 7 apg I'm taking Lebron's 7 apg.

Sorry DRK, doesn't look good for our deal so I'm pulling the plug. I don't want to end up like the Knicks.

24 hours ago when I was online we hadn't even finalised the leagues, now we have an order and I'm on the clock?

You kids need to calm down.

Ok I'm going to go look at some mocks now, be back in 10 with a pick.

I dont think we have "Officially" started. Its not like you only had 12 hours or we draft for you, just figured since many of us were online that if they wanted to pick, they could. Its the same as what we did last year. :D

But if you do decide to pick now, i will too (just to give a heads up to everyone drafting after me).

Ok it looks like Kevin Love is safest pick here.

All yours, Kerrsed :)

Really? You're a jerk. I was sure that you were taking CP3, and thus had based my entire draft strat around taking Love with my 1st pick. No thats all out the window and i will have to come up with a new strategy around Chris Paul.

Im ok with drafting Paul, just sucks that i have to redo my entire strategy. :-?

Seriously, when i read your pick Nevet, i was giving you the Blake face.

If you were sure I was taking CP3 then you obviously haven't done your research ;) I've had either pick 2 or 3 in I think the last 3 drafts and have always avoided taking him... I just don't see him as a top 3 fantasy pick. Or any PG for that matter.

But good luck with him this season! :D

Well, 5th pick. Arguebly the worst place to be in the 1st round.

Gimme a few minutes. I'll make my pick soon.

I have to agree. I think this year the first 4 picks are a given, but after that its a bit of a clusterf**k. There's definitely some great players to choose from, but there was soooooo much movement this offseason, its hard to project how those players will be affected.

Well this is a hard pick.

A pick I really didnt want to make.

A pick that was one email away from being close to traded a few hours ago.

But here I am.

With the 5th Pick in the Premier League Draft, "Gangnam Style" selects

Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder!

Analysis
What can I say? Well firstly it was a very difficult decision. After the first 4 picks, the talent field kinda levels out, so I had a bunch of players to choose from. In the end, it boiled down to Russell and two other players.

I could ignore his steal numbers, not to mention his explosive scoring and rebounding numbers as a PG. His assists, after being 8+ for two seasons straight, dropped to 5.6, but I hope they will pick up as well. One great thing about Westbrook last season is that his 3PM tripled from the season before, a factor I couldn't ignore.

With all those factors, and his youth, after weighing out the options, Russell seemed the guy to go for at #5.

Okay guys. I'm strongly looking to move my pick #20. Choosing Westbrook at #5 had to change my entire strategy, but I think it was the right pick.
