Really, you poo-pooers ought to go watch the '76 play off run... You get to the second round in the playoffs ... Anything can happen. Did anyone expect Dallas to win in their yr? Add assets and play ball!

Markieff would like a word with you.

Markieff could step-up. If he shows improvement like last year, then I have no problem with him stepping-in.

I would love to see Kieff get the starting spot next year! He improved a lot last year and seems hungry. He had some beast games last year and was fairly consistent and I think he deserves the opportunity to try and do it consistently in a big minute role. He is a little bit undersized at the PF spot I think but he is strong and definitely not as soft as Frye was, plus he shoots a decent percentage from 3 when he's not forcing it. He could turn into a great inside and outside threat if given the opportunity! Just my thoughts, have always loved his potential.

Because Ray Ray said time for plan B.

I'm not giving up until I hear it from Babby or McD.

Too many on this board have an inferiority complex toward the Suns.

We are not completely out of the race yet. Superhuman is in Las Vegas and is going to find LeBron and present our case to change his mind. If he succeeds - I will personally chair a group to get a statue put-up in his honor at US Airways Arena.

When you've been around for as long as some long time posters have, you'll come to unconsciously censor out a lot of the overly passionate wording (so to speak) that BH uses and you'll figure out the point he's trying to get across. He's says some douchebaggy things from time to time and sometimes his excessive passion hits the nail in the head and I find it's part of the realGM charm.

Deng fits too. All you naysayers need to acknowledge his solid solid play. He was expected to carry part of the minuscule scoring load in Chi... Not so here... We have fire power galore. 12 and 8 is all we need... That and his D
He is a proven, not a potential.

Get them both and we have improved immensely and as much a contender as anyone in the west. We'd be a handful to most teams

We can offer more money than OKC, Spurs and Miami. Bulls might be an issue.
I've been saying it for a while, but both guys make a lot of sense.
I hope our attention is fully on Gasol first, because we don't need Deng as much. I'll be more than happy to see Green in our starting lineup at the SF position.

Guess I'm a poo-pooer because I don't want to build a team full of cheap role players just to save money. Than throw that team against the wall to see if it sticks.

There isn't a team that has a championship that didn't trade for star/s or drafted stars.

Lebron's agent informed us we are out of the running; he told the Suns because of the Bledsoe situation. I don't know about a meeting today. I was told the agent called last night and the Suns were out of it. Maybe they met today -- sometimes things are not the way you hear them. And I'm one step removed from the process already when it comes to the Suns. Ray Ray can comment on that better than I can I guess.

The thing about the current management is they talk to the media (a choice few). They just do so confidentially. And if you burn them then you are black-listed from the processes. It's a smart way to do business. The current management doesn't play a lot of the 'leaked' info games, etc.

The Suns are working a three team deal once things settle. I know because I am familiar with a team that was contacted in it and declined to be involved. Don't know what happened after that.

I just knew we were not getting Lebron. And I know the Pacers and Celtics were in conversations with the Suns.

Bledsoe is going to get his offer sheet soon too. He's a max. Teams asking about S&T were told no unless a star is coming back. But that was as of last week (Friday) when I heard that.

With so much cap space it would be a shame to not at least try to sign someone good on a short-term deal. We can (and will) argue all day about whether any particular guy will be able to add significant wins for us, but no one will ever know if we don't sign anyone.

Since everyone pursuing Pau has more sparkle than the Suns, we'll have to win with money. While OKC, SA and CHI might only offer him 10-12M, we could do a one or two year deal at 15-16M. It's overpaying but if the deal is short, who cares? He's the only PF/C that could really make a splash. If it's a total failure, at least we kept him off the Spurs and Thunder.

Can't and won't comment on that for the delcined team.

Celtics and Pacers was what I knew. And there was a call made to the Suns about our resident knuckle-head SG and they were told no. He's being worked in a larger deal if possible.

I have a feeling the plan from our FO was to be included in the LBJ talks and go hard, knowing we most likely won't get him.

We told Paul that Bledsoe will get paid just keep us in it. It improves our reputation going forward trying to get other stars.

If it comes out we were seriously considered other players should be curious to see what offers we have. If the King considers us then every other FA should too.

If the Suns do not get Lebron, I would love to see the team sign Pau Gasol and Paul Pierce. I think they would provide invaluable leadership to the rookies and help them develop. Ryan McDonough himself said that he sees a little bit of Pierce in Warren, so who better to teach him than Pierce himself. In addition, Gasol would help Len and Plumlee and ease the burden of people's expectations of them. I would offer both Pierce and Gasol each 2 year, 24 million dollar deals. To hell with Luol Deng too. He wants 12 million a year for probably four years. The best thing about Gasol and Pierce is that you do not need to give them long term deals. San Antonio just won the championship with a mix of great older players and great younger players. Maybe Phoenix can do the same.

This looks like a legit team to me:

Bledsoe/Ennis/Smith
Dragic/Green/Goodwin
Pierce/Warren/Marcus Morris
Gasol/Markeiff Morris
Plumlee/Len

They could play big with that lineup, or small if they need to with Gasol at the five and Markieff at the four. They would have probably the deepest team in the league besides San Antonio as well. The team would be incredibly versatile. Not to mention, but they would have two proven champions in Gasol and Pierce. Gasol is your inside presence and Pierce can take and make big shots down the stretch.

And I would one million times rather sign Gasol instead of a stretch four. Having a stretch four sure equaled all those championship banners hanging in rafters right? Yeah right. The last time the Suns actually went to the finals, they did not have a stretch four. They had Barkley, Chambers, West, and Miller. All of those guys played inside way more than shooting threes. It is time the Suns have players in their frontcourt who can play inside and not stand at the three point line all game long.

we already got a taste of this when we stayed pat at the trade deadline instead of trying to upgrade for a playoff run. And in the end, it was pretty clear that we were just missing something, so we really should do sign somebody, especially on a shorter deal. If Love doesn't want to be traded here even for a year, there's no reason to expect him to want to sign a long-term deal as a FA. Now there's word that Aldridge is also planning to sign an extension next year with the Blazers. There really might not be that much available to us next summer, I just don't see the point of staying pat.
