I wonder who are the best coaches still out there (other than phil jackson) that could be viable candidates to take over at the end of the season for gentry?

I personally woudn't care for avery johnson, or stan van gundy! But I do believe there could still be some major upgrades in the way of coaching changes we could possibly make down the road? Any names come to mind guys?

I doubt we hire anyone outside the organization already. Dan has been an assistant for a few years, learning the ropes for his eventual take over from Gentry.

I don't think learning from Gentry is something I want in an assistant. Unless Dan has learned what not to do. We need to stop this promotion from within. We've been doing it since the mid 1990s save Porter. We need a coach with championship experience. Wether that is as a player, coaching college champ, or WNBA champ, I don't mind.

I think Sloan is finished. He was already sounding like he has lost his mind through age. However,I would love to grab Hornacek as an assistant because of what he has learned from Sloan.

I think Dan can be a fantastic coach. He's well put together, has a super competitive spirit, can still drain the long ball, and is a storied PHX Suns player.

Outside of Popovich, there really isn't another coach that I think would drastically alter our aspirations.

Why didn't Dan take over when Gentry got booted a few games ago? I really was hoping he'd be our next coach.

Minnesota's Brandon Roy has had setbacks in knee rehab and a return date is uncertain, league source tells Y! Sports.

Such a sad story.

Since the Suns are awful and boring to talk about...

Who do you think will have a longer streak? The Clippers (16 wins), or the Bobcats (17 losses)...

I guess the Bobcats have a chance to win against the Hornets tonight... but who knows...

I'm actually kind of jealous of the Bobcats, despite how awful they are. At least their fans get to watch Kemba Walker. That dude is special. Kidd-Gilchrist is becoming pretty awesome too. Glad I have them both on my fantasy team.

Edit: MKG with 18 points, 7 rebounds with 3 minutes left in the first half against the Hornets.

He's making Anthony Davis look silly. Davis with only 4 points, 2 rbs.

Gordon with 24/7 in 25 minutes off the bench in his season debut. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the hornets jump us in the standings now that he's back.

He'll probably get injured again soon.

Wow, the Mavericks have a terrible team over there. Remember when Dallas and Phoenix were the power houses of the Western Conference?
