I like Derrick Favors a lot but seems like Utah won't let him go cause they want him to replace Millsap after the season.

I would even traded Gortat and the LAL lottery pick for him.

And that helps them with a future PG how?

They are not trading Favors. Period. Why would they want Gortat when they have Jefferson (currently), who has been a absolute STUD these past seasons. They can re-sign him if they want. They also have Kanter waiting in the wings, who has put up good numbers in the small amount of minutes that he's been getting.

The players that Utah will most likely trade are Millsap and Jefferson, since they have their younger/cheaper replacements waiting on the bench.

jeebus 1Upz.... you trying to top exfan for the bottom ?

There are zero reasons the Jazz do that trade. Other than MArvinWilliams, they have no bad contracts, and they certainly are not going to give up their young bigs for a marginal upgrade at PG. Yes.... marginal.

I can't see us moving Dragic for anyone now.... except for may be that big Boston deal Kerrsed laid out a while back. There is just no point in dealing Goran, especially since he has had so little support. This yr is tagged and bagged. Why bother....?

Put ONeal, Telfair, Brown on the table, just to see what happens. I actually think there could be interest. Solid back ups by their play this yr.

Portland's bench is even worse than ours, may be they will give up Leonard with hopes of play-offing this yr. Doubt it though their fans are crying for some help

One idea i saw (from a prominent Blazer fan) that i thought was stupendous was a PHX/POR/OXC 3-way.

Blazers get Gortat
Thunder get Hickson/Dudley
Suns get Leonard/Lamb/PJ3/Thabeet

2013 Suns

Dragic/Marshall
Lamb/??????
PJ3/Beasley
Morris/Scola
Leonard/Thabeet

It doesn't have to be final trade details but can be starting point.

Favors is no doubt worth a lot....
But with Jefferson and Milsap playing so well, both Kanter and Favors may not see starting spots until 2-3 years from now.

As if Jazz is asking a lot for Milsap and Jefferson, then surely they will struggle to trade.
If they don't trade, then surely they may lose Milsap at least for nothing.

I can see them making a move for Smoove... Milsap and Or Jefferson for Smoove.

My proposal is not too bad anyways... It's just a starting point.

What if a player jazz really want fall to Lakers pick??

I think Jazz are also in a win now situation... Add a capable PG and a scorer at SG/SF may push them to elite status.

Having space (W.Johnson expiring) + Pick (top 12) + Dragic may get them those needs.

Also I wouldn't mind adding another protected Suns pick to the deal... Perhaps a top 5 2014 protected?... Then becomes unprotected for 2015 etc.

Suns will have attractive draft pick assets..

Which is what I've always said about having high picks.. You become attractive to trade with. Instead of the previous pick 13-15 mediocre pick range...

But surely Blazers need more... As that trade is side step.

With Gortat and Hickson/Leonard swap... They still have bench issues... Even worse.

Gotta give them 2 bench players who can help...
Brown, Scola (shame he can't be traded this season), Tucker...

Maybe add Tucker and Telfair... And Blazers send a 2nd rounder.

So now this is a draft day proposal? Shades of the Ghost there.
All bets are off on those trades... till we know what we have. And even then, likely till the actual pick

I can see us being very active come draft day. Might be the FO's last harrah

That would be one hell of a deal for the Suns. I like Lamb and Leonard both as a prospects.

Perhaps, xfan you should be putting more effort in your deals. Just because something works in the trade machine doesn't make viable, nor even a trade worth discussing. I have never seen someone who throws out so much garbage with so little thought. You even contradict yourself within your own posts. You pay little attention to what anyone says as you just keep chumming away with your fish slop, surprised when a shark or two shows up.

So dude.....I don't mind being a scrooge if you don't mind being a village idiot. Seems like we both have settled into our roles.

So

Gortat or dragic, & Dudley

For

Favors, burks, Marvin Williams

Is a bad trade because u say so???

Utah gets dragic for a future PG
Or
Utah keeps millsap and plays him next to gortat while letting Al walk or sign and trade

We get a young pf who has shown flashes of domination but has gotten consistant minutes, we also give Dudley whom you all make to be a superstar!!!!! We get Marvin's contract off of their hands

Village idiot hahaha funny thing is the village idiot has came through as a hero in some movies

The bad guy never becomes a good guy!!! You can't polish a turd!!!

Didn't Darth Vader throw the Emperor over the edge to save Luke? Didn't he essentially go from a bad guy to a good guy? You are even wrong in your analogies. at least we can all agree on the VI thing.
