So....something like...Beasley?

Marcus will at least play defense.

More assets. Maybe Marcus is a mediocre player, but a mediocre player for a second rounder is a win. Most second round picks don't make the team. I just can't see how this is a negative.

Actually, it does help. Here is my post from the trade thread:

My thoughts exactly! Marcus is a SF, not a PF like everyone keeps saying. I have mentioned in the past the idea of bringing in Marcus. Markieff has taken a bit of a step backwards this year, and my thought was bringing in Marcus would help him, and make both of them better players (specially when on the floor together). Until the draft, the 2 were NEVER separated for more than a day. This move cant really hurt, and can only help out.

Gaining another Morris, all the while making our original Morris better, just for a 2nd round pick? Its a great move.

This is nothing but a win for us. Like it's been said in this thread already, we got rid of a future 2nd round pick that more than likely won't amount to much for a risk that could reward us nicely. Having the brothers reunited could motivate them to become better players. They are much closer than most people think, I mean they have Identical tattoos around their whole bodies for crying out loud. Although it doesn't immediately make us better it will definitely help them grow as players.

Why couldn't we have gotten T-Rob instead? I guess i'll settle for a shorter, less athletic Markieff Morris.

Both brothers could easily be 15 and 8 players with consistent minutes.

Hard to get those kind of stats from a 2nd round pick.

Low risk, high reward situation for sure.

The only way this trade would be better is if we traded Shannon Brown instead of a 2nd round pick.

His best case scenario coming out of college was Michael Beasley.

In his rookie season, he was known to take long 2s off the dribble. But Marcus Morris has developed into more of a consistent spot up 3pt shooter this season.

I thought Marcus was actually having a better season than Markieff to this point and that he was playing fairly solid ball. I like the trade and it brings in more youth as well.

Ehhh I hope we are making more moves. I don't have any ill feelings towards this deal, I just don't think it'll do a whole lot for us. But for a 2nd, it's a decent deal. Also I hate that we have some sort of brother-brother novelty reputation now.

How could anybody be against this trade? We got a guy averaging 8.6 PPG this year as a very solid role player for a 2nd round pick. Not only did we get him, but I think we are also trading for a better version of Markieff as well as a better Marcus, and with these 2 being on the court at the same time you are getting perfect chemistry, as well as locker room chemistry. Marcus Morris is worthy of a mid first round pick, where he was drafted, and we got him for a 2nd! Thank you Houston!!!

What makes you say that? I've been about 10 feet away from Keef and Marcus standing right next to each other once in person and I was dumbfounded haha. What difference do you even see in that picture? Same hair bodies and tattoos!

If Marcus picks a number that can be mistaken as 11 like 1 or 17 then I will get confused every single game
