Froob wrote:Think you guys are just looking to kinda tank the rest of the way? Tucker would be a nice get for us, we have Minnie's 2nd round pick. Suns could take James Young and because they shouldn't be looking to win you could really see what he's got. Not a great offer, but not like he should be getting a great haul from what I know about him.

I would not make this trade.

We do not need another 2nd round pick and Young is one year away from being out of the league...ala Archie Goodwin.

If that is the best offer that we can get I prefer to have Tucker and show some loyalty to the guy, he wants to stay here even without winning.

I'd deal him if we could get a first

They'll probably offer the Clippers 1st.

If we can get a 1st rounder for Tucker, I don't care where in the 1st round you take that trade IMMEDIATELY

Tucker is a great player for a team to have going into the playoffs. He doesn't have to start. Just throw him on any opposing player that is getting hot and let him cause deep frustration.

The Celtics have identified a small group of role players they could have interest in acquiring, and Suns forward P.J. Tucker is among them. But Boston will not go overboard or hinder its flexibility chasing these deals, and it has no plans to relinquish a future first-round pick for a player like Tucker, who would simply offer some assistance off the bench, a source said.

Not getting a first for PJ. No chance no way.

Getting a 1st for PJ would be some kind of miracle

PJ is probably the most "anti-tanking" Sun on the team.

He won't tolerate losing. It probably makes the most sense to ship him out to a contender. Let him experience the playoffs. Then maybe we re-sign him in the offseason.

Maybe if we add our second, but I'm not sure I'd do that for such a small step forward. Although it's better than nothing if we are not planning to resign him.

I predict. If the Suns do trade Tucker, fans will be amazed--Markieff Morris trade amazed.

Celtics, Raptors and Wizards all should be in on Tucker

They are too close to the Cavs to not go for it this year - and a mid to late first, that's a done deal!

I think the Suns will get a first for PJ Tucker

Yeah if 6 teams genuinely have interest I think we get a first. Would be awful not to with that level of interest

I wonder what we could work with Atlanta. They (will) have the best draftpick of this bunch, but nothing on their roster that's remotley intresting (and realistic).
Any ideas folks?

Gambo just now:

Boston - not a fit to trade as won't give up first or even an early second
Wizards in play along with half dozen other teams but he doesn't see any giving up a first

So, lets see how good Gambo is. Based on the above, PJ going to Beantown for a first (Boston has LA Clippers first I believe)

I'd swap Tucker for the Washington first. The last trade we did worked out well for both teams, so they should be open to dealing with us again.

If 38 year old Korver can net a first then yes, Tucker absolutely can.

Sure.

Tucker made an All-Star game in recent years, right?

If making one All star game is some sort of criteria then I guess Luol Deng, Mo williams and Jameer Nelson are all stars right?

It's not Tucker's fault that he doesn't get to play in the weak ass East.

You know Tucker has more value than Korver right?
