The trade that the NBA vetoed which would have sent Chris Paul to the Lakers set them back tremendously.
As was not hiring Phil two years ago.

Has anyone watched the TimberPups this preseason? I would be pretty damn excited if was a Minnasoatan.
Loaded with talented youth, anchored by vets. I wonder what the vibe is with Flip running the show ?
pretty decent roster... I'm going to say man for man, top to bottom, equal to or better than ours. May be not right out of the gate, but given time to season.... Legit bigs, back court, wings....Earl Barron wouldn't see a minute. I see them winning more than 26 1/2 games. Sleeper team. If it comes down to us vrs them for #8, which way you leaning?
Pick or playoffs ?

Sheesh....is there a more brutish player than Pek ? This guy could set a solid pick with a stern look.

They are going to find a way to screw up. Like they always do.

- The T-Wolves have some nice talent, but I don't think Wiggins is anything special. Yes, he will probably be a great defender, but he's a terrible ball-handler and he's very passive at times. I still think Jabari Parker will be a much better offensive player.
- I just finished watching the first half of the Lakers/Jazz game a few minutes ago, and man, do the Lakers look HORRIBLE!
I think fans will see that Byron Scott is not much of an upgrade over MDA; Scott lost two locker-rooms in New Jersey and New Orleans, got fired by the Cavaliers, and if I remember correctly, isn't known for being the hardest worker.
Plus, I feel bad for Julius Randle, who seems like a really nice guy, because Scott has thrown him under the bus several teams within the past few weeks and that's not a good way to build the confidence of a young player who is the future of that franchise.
We all remember how much Steve Nash hated playing for Terry Porter; well, Scott is as tough and old-school as they come and I don't think Nash will like it.
In regards to Kobe, even though his FG% has been bad, he is getting good elevation on his shots. He still has enough lift to get a good shot up.

Also, Wesley Johnson is a huge under-achiever. I thought he had Shawn Marion potential with his world-class athleticism, size, and defensive versatility, but he just hasn't put it together so far in his career.
He has been disappointing everywhere he's been so far. (Minnesota, Phoenix, Lakers)
I also don't know why the Lakers picked-up Carlos Boozer; all he will do is stunt Randle's development and he's probably the worst pick-and-roll defender in the NBA. There's a reason why Thibodeau used to frequently have Taj Gibson in at the end of games instead of Boozer.
He's a solid player, but over-paid in my opinion.

And just like that, the Lakers come right back and make it a game again going into the 4th quarter; I must admit I was impressed by their fighting spirit during their 3rd quarter comeback.
Another team that I am intrigued to watch are the Clippers without Gentry as their offensive coordinator; remember, they were the most efficient offense last year and they haven't looked good this pre-season while the Warriors' offense has looked GREAT with him as Kerr's offensive coordinator.
Gentry is a great offensive coach just like MDA.

They can't be tanking two years in a row, especially with Kobe around this year

The pick is top-12 protected this year. They can finish top-10 in the west and we could still get the pick, if the east is as awful as usual.

Question? Which center from last year's draft can run the floor, block shots, play defence and is 7'2?

This is ridiculous stuff. How Rudy Gobert fell in the draft is beyond me. I had him pegged easily Top 10.

Re: Around The NBA 2: 2013/2014
The Philadelphia 76ers currently sport a roster that appears to be made up of guys who were spat into the world by NBA 2K15's player creator. According to the team's official site, the Sixers got a little more unreal today, as the team apparently signed 43-year-old power forward Bo Outlaw, who retired in 2007.
Ol' Bo's roster spot is clearly meant to be occupied by Travis Outlaw, a much younger, but not necessarily better, basketball player that the Sixers traded for earlier today. It's an honest mistake, but I think it's telling that whoever is in charge of maintaining the Sixers' online roster didn't think it was inconceivable for the team to sign a 43-year-old who hasn't played in seven years. The fact that Bo Outlaw's biographical information is accurately displayed on the site suggests this wasn't just a case of getting two names mixed up.
So, it's likely that some NBA intern was lazily scanning Twitter today, saw a "Sixers Trade For Outlaw" headline, and thought to himself, "Huh. Bo Outlaw? Yeah, that sounds about right. Well, better go get this up on the website."
The Sixers should consider signing Bo Outlaw for real, though. He'd probably be able to crack the rotation.
