Interesting comments on there...

Who is he kidding ? The Suns have never been known for a boisterous crowd. Even the 'Mad House' was a morgue 90% of the time. Sure, every once in a while... i.e. playoffs.... the level of excitement rises, but the Phnx fan base has always been fickle. And now, more so than ever, the FO has priced out at least half their 'solid supporters'. I'd bet the majority of the lower bowl seats are corporate owned. You see empties and the 'second quarter arrivers' at every game I watch. Corporations are not fans. They give the tickets away.

You want to improve attendance, then don't be so GD myopic and think its all about 'the product'. There are a lot of fans who would go to multiple games... if it didn't cost them half a months rent.

Mike Malone fired, strange move because the team was playing good basketball, better than the last few years for sure.

Spurs vs Grizz going to Triple-OT. Both Centres (Gasol & Duncan) with buzzer beaters...

Conley is the most underrated PG in the league.

Wow, the Clips and Rockets beat subpar teams at the last second...watched the end of both and it sucked watching them both win.

Well, I guess right when I was typing, Afflalo hits a 3 to put that game into OT.

Yeah, it went into OT right when I typed the first sentence which is why I typed the second one.

Other than this game, Hardens defense has been so much better this year, I still have him in my top 3 for mvp, but curry is my #1, Harden #2, and Lowry #3. But yea Hardens improved effort on the defensive end is the reason for the improved Rockets over all, he was showing flashes of solid defense in the world cup. And also the fact that morey got a team that fit Mchales system (one of the worse coaches in the league). Since Mchale cant put a offensive system around his players morey might as well go get players that fit mchales system. Also houston was 2 loaded at the pg position last year, much better spacing and I would take Nick Johnson over Lin, I just like what he brings coming off the bench for defense. And his comments to harden being a UA alumm saying that he plays no d just might of got Harden actually trying on defense.

I wonder if the altitude has anything to do with it? he's got a pretty big upper body and probably has a high oxygen draw, i remember him being pretty lousy in that mexico city game guarding Wiggins too (or maybe im just remembering a few lowlights).

I'm also not sure if that's Mchale's system, isnt the whole layup, free throw and 3 from the front office? His Minnesota teams didn't play anything like that, he also seems a much improved coach, they play well out of timeouts and his little adjustments late seemed good, plus how they managed to keep their defense going with so many injuries is beyond me.

Wow, just saw that Rondo was traded to the Mavs. That's pretty crazy.

I think the west is pretty set.

GS
Memphis
San An
LAC
Portland
Houston
OKC
Dallas

In no particular order.

These teams are a clear 1-2 notches above the rest of the WC. We can pretty much wave playoffs goodbye.

I don't see why people didn't wave playoffs goodbye weeks ago.

We've still shown the ability to compete with any of the top teams (except Memphis) on a good day, but I agree that in a 7 game series, we are toast.

I'm not sure the Dallas trade makes them stronger. How are Rondo and Ellis going to share the ball? What if Rondo gets hurt again? Plus they lose a big.

Exactly what I thought. Ellis is a ball dominant SG who basically played PG for big stretches, and Rondo can't shoot/make 3s like Nelson could. Have to think they have another move in them for a big...Faverani got released, could see him landing there. Or on the Spurs, where he'd explode. Argh

I agree. He helps them with rebounding a pg defense, but if Monta has the ball (or Dirk) no one will have to guard Rondo because he can't shoot.

That's pretty much the same reason I didn't think Rondo made sense in Houston either.

Carlisle is extremely good at utilizing his talent (everyone thought Monta was a scrub chucker before he went to Dallas) so it will be interesting to see how it works out.

The two writers I read the most (Lowe and Pelton) both don't seem to think it will help Dallas' offense at all because they are already scoring at a historic rate and the Monta/Dirk pick n roll is unstoppable.

Heck, maybe we should try and get Faverani. I don't know too much about him but I do remember him having games last year where he was hitting threes and blocking shots....sounds like a low risk option that possibly could provide some things we need (more in the long run than immediately maybe).

Faverani is done for the year IIRC. And no, he isn't better than Plumlee or Len.
