Why? Plumlee started a whole season with Frye at the four.

Yes but Frye played the 5 when Plumlee was on the bench.

But Len has taken over for Plumlee, so maybe you mean Plumlee would sitting on the bench with the other guys not good enough to crack the rotation? :D

Len has only gotten ahead of Plumlee because he was given a chance in the first place to perform better than him.

I just doubt he would have gotten that chance if there was another option like Frye.

Most likely he proved in practice that he was better than Plumlee, and edged him out. More than likely Frye would have started over Plumlee because of how poorly he has played this season. Len would have shown how much he wants it regardless of who we had. Plumlee would be the one sitting. And if the Frye/MkMo didn't produce, there might be many differences that occurred.

But oh well, none of that happened. Frye us in Orlando, Len is starting, and we still lack a stretch four/five.

I think/hope having Brandan Wright on the team will be good for Len too. They're pretty similar but have different skill sets so it will be fun to have them both and hopefully they'll learn a lot from each other. Wright has those P&R skills for example -- hopefully Len will see Wright getting lots of touches and easy buckets in the P&R and figure out how to emulate him.

I thought he was fantastic against the best front court in the NBA.

Len putting it on the floor quite well against Marc Gasol

Len showing great awareness

Not gonna lie, I've watched way less games this season than I have in a long time. But him and Dragic are honestly the only reason I even bother to watch the ones I do stream.

Weird. Who'd have thought that if you give a nimble 7'1 player the ball in the post that he might be able to create something? He needs at least 5 opportunities like this per game. More if he is producing from them.

+1

I made a comment about that EXACT play on the game thread itself.
When I saw that I was like "YEAAAHH BOOYYY"

Thats why Suns need to give Len touches, sure he'll make mistakes early on, but the more he does it the better he gets at it... and then all of a sudden, he has a move that can fake out big men easily.

We need to utilize Len like the Kings utilize Cousins. Len has shown glimpses of being a decent passer for a big man. He's unselfish. Give him the ball in iso-plays 2-3 per quarter and see what he does with it. Also, I liked the move he did on Marc Gasol, but I'd rather Len get the ball in the post, ya know just a little closer to the basket. Feed him the mid-range jumper at the top of the key to open up the floor more.
Still waiting for Len to post back to back 20-10 games... then I'll say he is capable of doing that every game. :D

I'm really impressed how fast len seems to be learning the little things like defensive positioning. All young big men foul too much but the good ones learn what they can get away with.

I've been a len optimist but I'm even surprised how quickly he's developing. By all accounts he's a hard working coachable guy so really the sky's the limit with him. He's the best prospect the suns have had since amare.

Somebody needs to pull that thread where McD drafted Len over Noel and Mclemore. That would make for some fine reading. Right now we may have gotten the best player in the 2013 draft. Will know for sure within two years.

The Cavs announcers were drooling over Len. And whenever someone made a shot near the basket with Len in the area, they acted as if Len was Mutombo.

I took a look at it a couple of weeks ago, made for good reading and seeing which people need to eat that tasty crow.

Agreed! I've read it just now, it's hilarious. Almost everyone who posted was like "Please not Len".

Len and Gobert

Gobert is looking like a Mutombo-lite player... ridiculous blocks per minute rate.
Len will be the better offensive player but also not too far behind defensively.
