Who would have thought Knight would be smashing Dragic this season. Not me!

I must admit I've been sceptical about our strategy and talent, but am pleasantly surprised with the ceiling I've seen from Knight, he's had multiple All-Star quality games and the SG spot is not deep in the league so when you have possibly a top 5-10 one, it's worth every bit of 14m.

Now it's likely he'll have a bonehead game, so getting consistancy (only 23) could really make him into an All-Star level player.

I've found reason to be back in love with the team, so hopefully they don't stuff it up!

It does somewhat make sense, if you read the same quote, that they simply get a younger cheaper pg if they were going to pay Middleton that much, especially since they will likely have to max out the Greek and Parker.

But Kidd seems to prefer strictly passing point guards, as he was. I remember reading that he hated KJ's game. And KJ was even a great passer, but he could really score as well.

I'm not entirely sure what the Bucks cap situation looks like.

I'm sure Knight will still have his bad games, but at least between him and Bledsoe it should be fairly rare that he AND Bledsoe have bad games. Hopefully he continues to pass a lot...I mean even with 30 pts, he got 15 assists. Hopefully our ball movement continues to be ok with Kieff back.

They just decided that they were not going to pay both Middleton and Knight. They chose to keep Middleton and get as much as they could for Knight.

EDIT: DOH! Already on the first page... But still, it's kind of funny all the surprise this board has had to Brandon's successful scoring/shooting.

Well, I am starting to eat my crow about this guy. His form lately has been nothing short of amazing, long may it continue.

Brandon Knight's so good, he makes shots on the rigged carnival hoops.

(That first shot was totally just a different angle of the second shot going in, but shhhhhh)

So it seems like Bledsoe-Knight is working out pretty well, better than expected, with Warren as a 6th man option/smallball lineup, remains to be seen who should be the SF/PF for this team, I guess FA/draft will target that, Booker could play some SF, and Morris might find his game again I guess.

I will try to get something for Tucker.

I just want to own up... I was completely wrong about Brandon Knight.

If he keeps this up.... wow.

I was always a fan of Brandon Knight since I saw him get dunked on by DeAndre. People can call that stupidity for going up against a 7 footer but even if there was a 0.001% chance of stopping those 2 points thats what you want to see. I want to see him prove all the doubters wrong so here's to him keeping it up.

I like that he stepped back for some 3s last game.

Yeah, when people talk about a guard getting posterized by a guy like that I find it intriguing he tried...I mean most guards just step out of the way...though maybe not Bledsoe...our guards our feisty. Markieff would likely get out of the way, but Knight will take that chance.

Definitely. He must have read me and Qwigglez' tweets about his long 2s.

I find it weird that when I look at our team, we can have the same mold as the Warriors with two star guards, and really good role players who shoot well from three, with Knight as a poor man's Steph Curry imho. Nowhere near as good now obviously. Now we just gotta move Markieff for Draymond Green :D

I made a Best Small Ball lineup thread based off of that thinking. If Bledsoe and Knight keep playing this well, we are not actually that far off, because Klay is struggling this year with his shooting. It is Curry and nothing else that makes that team go like no other, like when Nash was at his best.

http://behindthebuckpass.com/2015/11/21/the-brandon-knight-trade-was-a-mistake/

Well, chalk this up as ANOTHER p!ss-poor trade McD made, right Frank? I mean...

...Knight and Bledsoe CLEARLY cannot work together...
...the two PG thing will never work...
...Knight's putrid 41% (33 of 80/2.8 of 6.7 per gm) shooting from beyond the arc is killin' us...and speaking of killin'
...we gave up that great player, I think his name is "top 5 protected pick"; he's killin' it for the Sixers...
...and also Miles Plumee and Tyler Ennis--also killin' it for the Bucks!...
...and to think, we didn’t pay Dragic $17M per, for his 8 of 31 3PT shooting--nope we paid $13.5M for 33 of 80 3PT shooting—oops! Egg all over our face!!

I'm picking up Miyagi's 'slack' in this thread...

http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=0&y1=2016&p1=knighbr03&y2=2016&p2=dragigo01&y3=2016&p3=cartemi01&y4=2016&p4=thomais02&p5=&p6=

Yeah, I know, it's only 12 games, but it's a far cry from the 11 games he gave us last season, and while Thomas is playing well for the Celtics, we gained 5" and more of a "SG who can play PG," rather than "PG who can give us minutes as a SG--OFFENSIVELY only."

And no I do not expect Dragic to continue to play this poorly; and I suspect Knight will 'cool' some from his recent 'tear',but since the evidence falls in my favor at this point in time, I'm taking advantage of that fact--I have no shame!

Knight is giving us twice the production of Goran for less money so far. Also, there's the age thing. A lot of reasons to be excited about the future.

It's only 12 games but Knight is well on his way to proving me wrong about his talent, fit and ability to improve. I didn't think he could be better statistically playing next to an equally ball dominant combo guard in Bledsoe after being the primary ball-handler and PG with the Bucks but he's somehow managed do exactly that.

His finishing ability still needs some work but if he was finishing at the same rate as some of the top guards in the league, he'd probably be averaging close to 24ppg.

Love what he's shown so far...but my god did he miss a LOT of layups vs the Pelicans. It must have been 6-7 gimmes at the rim - had he made 3-4 of those we'd probably have won...But anyway! Love how he and Bledsoe are looking together!
