.

This is how I feel. I like where we are......I love where we are. It is the best place we could be without a superstar. Bledsoe could be better, Knight could be better, Len could be better, Warren could be better, Kieff could be better, Archie could be better, and Booker could be a steal!!!

Those are just too many possibilities not to get better and still be very young.

Star potential: Bledsoe, Knight, and Booker.

AND TJ and even Len still has an outside shot.

Every year, some Suns fans inevitably get super high on one of the current draft picks. First it was Goodwin, then Warren, and now it is Booker. I like them all, and hope they become stars, but realistically, I would be happy to just have them become solid contributors in the future. Of all the young guys, Alex Len still has the most potential on this roster to become an all-star in my eyes. You just do not see 7'1 guys, who can move like he does, and possess such good shooting touch, while also being a strong rebounder and shotblocker.

Regards to Booker -- I haven't been this excited about a Suns prospect since I watched Amare in summer league. The others - Goodwin, Warren, Len, Slowpez, others - did not stand out. Booker is the real deal. Do any others on the board feel the same way about Booker in summer league?

Does he? His mechanics look fine, but iirc his percentages are abysmal.

This is Len at the moment

His movement looks wonky, his shooting touch thus far is mediocre, and he has no post game. So far he has been outperformed by 3 Centers in his draft class, Noel, Adams, and Gobert. His summer league was also far from impressive. I don't know, Len hasn't looked like a 5th pick so far.

^ I think Len has shown enough flashes, especially in a league where bigs are scarce, that he has the best chance of being all-star out of all our young guys one day. Last year was his first time he was fully healthy and getting real NBA minutes. In only 24 minutes a game, as a starter, he averaged 6.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks. Call me crazy, but that is impressive for a 21 year old center. I will not even get into the fact that he was completely ignored on offense.

I have never been this high on a rookie since Amare either.

Booker does remind me of a Klay Thompson. Super smooth and silky J, and also a very similar body size. Also moves around on the court with similar fluidity.

I said that pre-draft and everyone killed me for even mentioning it. Completely agree though, I'm excited about this kid.

Isn't that we are supposed to do as fans?

No, we need to assume the worst and make ourselves miserable and get pissed if anyone displays any positivity!

I don't think Booker will be as good as Thompson just cause of the size and length difference alone. Klay gets a lot of shots off due to not worrying so much about the guy guarding him cause he has an inch or two over basically all SGs that guard him. And in basketball, much like sex, an inch can make a world of difference. Plus Klay's 3pt shooting ability, like Curry's, is simply historically amazing. When it's all said and done both could be top 10 among 3pt shots made. But who knows, Booker could still grow since he's young and maybe he does have that type of ability.

I like the Bradley Beal comparison more for Booker.

Yup.....and Booker could be better than Klay. It is always safe to say someone is not going to be better than a fringe superstar player, but when Klay came into the league people were not talking about how he was going to be Klay either. Booker displayed an ability to put the ball on the floor and a dribble pull-up jumper that was not displayed in college because of the talent around him. Booker is STILL 18 and has a long ways to go as far as his body is concerned and his game.

Lets not trip, Klay does get a lot of open shots from Curry, and saying Klay and Curry in the same breath is doing Curry a disservice.

Booker looks very comfortable creating his shot and elevating over defenders with his high release. He will be the first Devin Booker......who cares about being Klay 2.0?! Be better than Klay.

Also, Booker won't have the enormous benefit of playing beside another spectacular shooter in Curry. I'm guessing Thompson's efficiency would drop if he was on a different team.

Coro's recent article stating Warren is being considered starting over Tucker. Won't happen but good to see the Suns believing in him.

This may seem like something little but Keef just started following Sonny Weems and Mirza on Twitter. Safe to say he's on board. So stoked ! :)
