Re: Tank Watch
I can't wait for the 5th pick in the draft again (knowing our luck).

Hopefully Lakers or Orlando can land a good player.

I'm glad Sac is so much ahead of us. Can't see them winning more than 2-3 games after this trade.
Luckily I don't see us winning much more than 5-8 games (depending on tanking and other trades).

We need to start Knight. Sacramento are going to be chasing Brooklyn.

Re: Tank Watch
Think it's time to start giving Chriss, Bender and Len full helping of minutes. No reason Chriss and Bender shouldn't be getting 30ish minutes at SF/PF.
Even though I love Tucker for our team, I hope to see him traded before the Deadline. If it means giving these guys the minutes they need(as well the minutes we need to help lower our chances of winning this season) I see no downside.

Not sure if we should let Bender play with crutches.
Chriss has been given plenty of opportunity. I don't think he can stay on the floor for 30ish minutes without fouling out halfway through.

I don't think thats really possible. Sac might only win 2-3 more games out of their remaining 25, but even with 2 more wins they would be at 26-56, and thats a whooping 8% winning percentage, pretty unprecedented for a 25 game strech. They will win 3-4 games most likely.
If we win 8 of the remaining 25 then we could have the same 26-56 record, and I just don't really see us doing that for various reasons (trading vets for picks/younger players, resting vets for young guys, resting guys to tank a bit - and never admit to it).
Otherwise I'm all for resting Bled, Tyson and trading Tucker to retain that top3 place in the draft.

Re: Tank Watch
If the Suns are smart they won't play Bledsoe any more this season. Not only to help the tank but also to prevent injury to Bledsoe. Give Knight starter minutes. Even if his value won't go up at least it can't get worse.

This would be the wise thing, but Sarver, McD and Watson are not like that from what I've seen in the last cpl years. I think sitting Bledsoe (and/or) Chandler in back to backs are as far as they are willing to go with tanking.

Well. If Cousins is the loser everyone says he is, Sac should improve. Right?

What kind of Suns fan are you? I think you're really underselling Bender's abilities!

Even if this is true (not), Divac isn't done dealing

Re: Tank Watch
Post trade deadline edition: Who is tanking and who is the biggest threat to out-tank the Suns?
Contenders for 2nd place: (Brooklyn has 1st place wrapped up)
Lakers - Traded Lou Williams
Orlando - A mess before deadline and then traded Serge.
Sacramento - Boogie. Clear tank move.
Dallas - Waived Deron Williams
Philly - A surprise trade of Noel.
Minnesota - Not tanking.
Lakers, Orlando and Philly are the biggest threats... in that order. Let the Fultz / Ball race begin!

Re: Tank Watch
LA. Easily imo.
They were barely competitive and were only in games because of Lou. Now that he, Kupchak and Jim's (old LA FO) are gone, I think they are going into full tank mode. We're half a game "in front" of LA and we still have very capable vets in Bledsoe, Chandler, JD and LB and a few very competitive players like Booker, TJ and Len. I don't think trading Tucker opens up any more minutes for our Tank Commander (BK)

He needs to have a few good games so that we can sell that being benched is the issue. His drop off is unprecedented, and it's hampering a lot. I want him to be good enough that we can use him and those 2nd rounders to get Okafor. Both have their warts and aren't worth what their teams would like or believe, but if that rumor is true I think it's the best we can hope for.

Re: Tank Watch
My hope at this point is that we win the lottery, draft Fultz or Ball (or Jackson I guess but I think we'd be better off with a PG), then manage to trade back in for a C (if Markannen or Patton falls that would be nice) at the back end of the lottery, maybe using the protected Miami pick if a team's guy ends up getting taken before their spot.
Re-sign Len, use the new C as the backup. Move on from Tyson.
