Never got around to going back and watching the old Glory events, but I'm gonna try to watch this one.

Having a ppv after a free show seems like a weird strategy. Seems like all but the hardest of the hardcore will get their fix for free.

But maybe only the hardest of the hardcore would be buying this anyway, not sure.

LOL at the PPV commercial's last voice over. "Stand up and fight!"

Darko "The Human Victory Cigar" Milicic had his first match.

Might not want to be eating anything around the 2min mark.

Glory 19 in 3 days

Main card on Spike TV

“Navy vs. Air Force” superfight

WW contender tournament: Nieky Holzken vs. Alexander Stetcurenko
WW contender tournament: Raymond Daniels vs. Jonathan Oliveira
Joe Schilling vs. Robert Thomas
HW title: Rico Verhoeven vs. Errol Zimmerman

The Navy vs. Air Force fight has been confirmed but the names of the fighters haven’t been released “for security reasons”. All that has been released is their first names (Mitch and Cedric) and confirmation both fought MMA before while this will be regular Glory kickboxing rules. Since this area of Virginia has the largest concentration of military bases in the US this fight will likely get more of a crowd reaction than any but the main event.

Zimmerman is sloppy and terrible even by k-1 standards. Guy's like 28 too, always out of shape, has the face of a man in his 40s.

Glory 20, from a week or two back.

Did this take place in the First World? In 2015? How did they let that Ristie fight continue? Refs, corner, and the doctor all allowed him to stumble around on ice skates for those final two rounds. Serious signs of neurological damage. Gross Motor Skills shot. It reminded me of that poor kid who died in the RoufusSport even while the doctor sat at ringside texting his GF.

At this pace, it won't be long til Glory/Spike have a fighter die. You can't have one-night tourneys or ACs that negligent.

Glory event in France last night:

(Ignore the Super Fights series in favor of the event titled Glory 22: France. Or the one referring to the tourney. Both last night.)

Woah, what a great win by the Thai dude against Kiria in rd 1 of tourney. Body strike finishes in MT are pretty rare given the conditioning. It was cos he went to the solar plexus twice, bang + bang, I think. Caught him between breaths?

Bummer.

When I saw this thread at the top of the page, I was hoping it was because of some awesome event coming up.

Holy Hell. That Hari vs Rico fight was insane while it lasted.

A modicum of boxing movement in the first round, it looked like Hari was going to take Rico apart. Slip and counters, moving his head while he threw punches...things these kickboxers never do. He wasn't even doing them particularly well but these big MT fighters have no idea what to do when their opponent doesn't just sit w a high guard and alternate combos with them. I think Rico got really exposed. He's not an all-time great striker.

Harrison's power is so energy efficient too. He steps his weight into each, they're really thudding. Where Charlo's throwing wide, muscled shots.
