Ward camp talking about GGG...uh huh.

That would be fantastic. Up there with the Canelo match.

I would not watch a fight against Cotto, that would be cringeworthy. Miguel's team needs to look out for him.

Ward is all talk.... He chooses not to fight because he doesn't want to fight.

Goosen was a beyond a good promoter for him...

I want GGG to **** up Chavez though.

Yikes, a left hook that went over the guard and came down like a hammer on the forehead.

It was a quick count but to be honest it didn't look like Rubio had any real interest in continuing.

Can't really hate on any of the opponents Donaire has gone after (he's got some big names on his résumé), but that Rigo fight at Radio City was supposed to propel him into a new market of fans and he lost badly. I don't know if he's ever fully recovered mentally from that.

No?? In the time immediately after that Vic bout, sure. But once he started getting talked about as pfp top 5, there were some terrible opponents. Guys moving up to face him and talk of him ducking in & out of weight classes.

Some legit names too. Did he face everyone he should have? I guess in due time.

There was the bantamweight tournament on Showtime with Agbeko, Marez, and Perez, but he almost gets a pass facing Montiel on HBO, who was the highest rated bantamweight at the time.

Hopefully a quality welterweight will sack up and take on Thurman.

I'll just go ahead and guess that 'TBA' isn't going to mean much of an opponent. Too bad Brook got injured due to the stabbing, I think that was a logical next fight for both of them.

Martin Murray defeated Domenico Spada due to a cut stoppage in the 7th round. Gennady Golovkin was in Monte Carlo to watch the fight so this should come as no surprise....

You know that isn't an easy fight for GGG. Murry knows how to handle himself in the ring and could go the distance vs him.

I can't see Murray going the distance. He's a quality opponent and good fighter but I don't think he has the pop to get Golovkin's respect in the end. I think it goes middle to late rounds, Golovkin stoppage.

Thurman's next opponent is Leonard Bundu. Biggest win was a split decision over Frankie Gavin. Only 11 KO victories in 33 wins so he doesn't have much power it seems. Technically they could have picked a worse opponent. This isn't a Rod Silka or whatever the hell his name is. At lease Bundu is ranked high by various sanctioning bodies within Thurman's division. But still, I think we're going to need to see him with an accomplished opponent sooner rather than later.

It's not gonna happen. He'll last longer than two rounds, but he's going down around the 8th or 9th.

I'd like nothing more than to see him get KO'ed. We'll see what happens. I got Kovalev by TKO in the latter rounds.

F*ck Haymon. People can get on Arum and GB all they want, but Haymon is one of the main reasons why you'll never see certain match ups. Look at what he's doing with Danny Garcia. After beating Matthysse you'd think he'd be ready to fight all the biggest names in the sport. Instead he's fighting the likes of Salka. It seems like they've been protecting him ever since he got that gift decision against Herrera.

And now Haymon has his hands on JCCJ. Which means we'll never get a Froch/Chavez fight.

I remember that fight and while I understand why Calzaghe won I can see why Hopkins was pissed. He was the only one who landed any punches that mattered in that fight. The problem is, when you only land 5 punches a round and you're not knocking the guy out or even down each time its going to be hard to win a decision.

All 4 fighters on the HBO show made weight. Sergey Kovalev came in at 174.5, Bernard Hopkins at 173.5. Sadam Ali at 146, Carlos Abregu at 146.5.

I don't know what is going to happen tomorrow night, which is what makes for the most intriguing fight I've seen in a while. We know about Kovalev's power and B-Hop's "street smarts" when he is inside the ring. I can't bet against Hopkins. He, most likely, has to stink this one up to win. Lately, he hasn't been as boring as his past rep but he can't afford to get into a fight with Kovalev or else he's going to get KO.

Undercard.... I'll take Abregu to stop Ali. Much like Delorme in 2012, I think Ali is going to find that Abregu is a bit of a climb that he isn't quite ready for.

Hopkins is a freak and by any normal logic... he has no chance but he has proven all of us wrong over and over.

No one is actively wanting to fight Kovalev... the man has killed a person when fighting. Someone that is been lost in the hubris of this fight.

I don't know... **** it... Hopkins via boring and technical UD...
