I saw it on Thanksgiving... It was great and stirring.

My entire family went to the Alamo Drafthouse, and good lord... even my mom got knotted up seeing it.

It is a great film.... not just a great Rocky /Sports movie.

Kinda like the first Rocky then. Agh, I hate having friends! If I didn't have to wait, I would've seen it on Thanksgiving too.

Fury won't last long though. Wilder, Joshua and Povetkin all waiting in the line. Klitschko did a nice job avoiding the first two cause he would have lost those belts earlier.

I don't think it was a matter of Klitschko avoiding Wilder or Joshua. Neither were simply worthy of a fight against Klitschko until very recently. The jury is still out on Joshua as well as he hasn't been fully put to the test just yet either.

Not a good fight to watch but Fury is the deserved winner. Klitschko looked bad, either age has caught up or he simply couldn't adjust to fighting someone taller than him. We'll likely see a rematch but if it is age related, then I think it's certainly possible that Klitschko hangs up the gloves.

He is a dad, has a fun sized cutie, and millions in the back with good health... no reason to keep fighting if sound mind and body.

I believe Wlad has said he is going to take the rematch. I also think he'll come back and beat Fury.

A Fury Povetkin fight would be really interesting though, down the line if Fury could manage to take Wlad a second time.

Then there's up and coming guys like Joshua, Teper, Parker who could challenge in the near future.

Bute looked good against DeGale. I thought the fight was closer than some of the score cards suggested. I had it 115-113 for DeGale.

Also, Fury has at least injected some life into the HW division. I respect what Kilt has done since 04 but let's face it, he wasn't drawing any interest to the division. Fury at least has a polarizing personality that will keep people engaged.

DeGale/Bute was a fun, enjoyable fight with a great atmosphere that added to it. DeGale was rightly called the winner but Bute certainly performed very well.

I loved watching Quillin getting his ass handed to him. Now he can thank Al Haymon for getting him all the big fights.

Taking a knee is something I rarely see fighters do when they are in trouble like that. Not that he would have survived but I think right after that first big hit, a knee would have done wonders. Kept Jacobs off of him to recover a bit.

That was the unexpected. Quillin had no chance from the opening bell, Jacobs was on him like flies on ****.

Stoppage seemed to be a bit quick on live TV but the replays showed how bad Quillin looked, so I'm fine with the ref's decision.

Showtime's crew was pathetic trying to discredit GGG during their post fight analysis. GGG could KO Jacobs and Quillin on the same night. Seriously, props to Al Bernstein for not being a part of that garbage. Bernstein is right, Quillin is a Murray type fighter and was protected by Al Haymon for the longest time.

If you go draw with Andy Lee, that pretty much sets your bar

Quillin's biggest mistake was passing up on that Korobov fight. I blame him as much as his advisers for screwing that up. He kept talking about how this was going to be his year, how Haymon was going to get him the biggest fights. Nope, just another overprotected Haymon client whose stock has dipped considerably over the past couple of years. Seriously, I don't understand the appeal of signing with Haymon these days. He's not getting his fighters the best fights available. Almost all of his big name fighters(Broner, Stevenson, Garcia, Quillin) have gave gone downwards in terms of overall reputation. I mean, they could be making the same amount of money or even more fighting in other promotions. Broner turned down a $40 million dollar payday from Roc Nation(they dodged a bullet) to stay with Haymon?

I hope Haymon's attempt to monopolize the sport and keep most of his fights in house blows up in his face. Al Haymon is everything that's wrong with the sport.

So three days away from Canelo/Golovkin's teams to decide on a fight. I don't see Canelo giving in on the 160 thing. Which is lame and sucks cause it's a 160 belt. But I could see them fighting later on in the year.

Just caught Jacobs's victory over Quillin. Holy crap, Quillin had nothing against those barrages. I mean...holy crap.

That KO that Roy Jones suffered today was brutal. That's not something I find entertaining to watch.

And that Donaire/Juarez fight was AWESOME. FoTY for me. Donaire might be on the decline, but holy hell he had a lot of guts towards the end. You can't ask for more than that.
