Golovkin is a **** beast, there's just no other way to put it. Unbelievable power with either hand.

Algieri is still relatively unknown despite his win over Prov. Plus the fight is going to be overseas which also doesn't bode well for PPV buys here in the US. Rios actually had a decent Mexican/Mexican American fan base coming into his fight with Pac. Algieri has none whatsover. Yeah, this PPV has disaster written all over it. Arum should at least put together a decent undercard to slightly increase sales.

This fight is crap. Nothing against Algieri. He's a good fighter with a big heart. But he doesn't deserve this fight. Sure he beat the Siberian Rocky but he didn't destroy him and he got dropped twice in the process. Lets see him beat another top 10 Junior Welterweight before we feed him to Pac-man.

It sucks animal parts and I will not waste more than that to describe the patheticness of the TR PPVs

Holy Lord, GGG. Weird KO, though. That was a wild haymaker...pulled way back behind his ear, then interrupted by a big right hook... still one punch KO'd a big damn dude.

Who the **** is going to want to face him?

You don't think Froch has a chance, bros? Just Ward. I'd agree Ward. That is an amazing fight. And both HBO guys.

I hope GGG doesn't fight Ward anytime soon. I didn't even like the idea of him moving up to fight JCC jr. I want him to get his big fights at 160. Cotto just moved up. Canelo will move up sooner or later. Lara will probably have to move up in order to get big money fights. Then there are still Peter Quinlin and the winner of Soliman/Sturm out there. I worry that bulking up to fight 168 pounders will rob him of his ability to make 160.

Apparently Froch doesn't like his chances much either against GGG.

Also Ward isn't fighting anyone till he gets his legal troubles sorted out. It doesn't matter if they're both HBO fighters. He's in a legal war with his promoter right now which is why he's only fought twice in the last 2 years.

Cotto and Canelo will fight each other and rematch before they face GGG.

JCCR pulled out of negotiations against GGG earlier this year because of financial reasons. Which is a load of ****.

Quillin isn't going to fight GGG till HBO and Showtime end their Cold War.

The only realistic fight at the moment is Solomon.

Yeah at least we know Sam will step up for the GGG forced nap. A younger Soliman might have made it a long fight.

I think Golovkin does a bit of a quick turnaround and fights Soliman in the fall. Ward, as mentioned, is stuck in a dispute with Goossen, so who knows when he'll be fighting.

Isn't Soliman supposed to be fighting a rematch with Sturm? I thought I heard something about another fight. If not then yea....throw him in there against GGG. But something tells me we're going to see him in against a Sergio Mora/Andy Lee type fighter next. Ho Hum.

Soliman beat Sturm in May(117-111 x2, 118-110), which was a rematch of their 2013 fight that was a no-contest due to a positive test for Soliman.

Wow!1! That's awesome. Of all people hungry enough for glory to face Kovalev, it's Hopkins.

2 rounds through Rios-Chaves, but may be FOTY candidate.

Yikes, huge deduction on Chaves.

Round 5, is Chaves boxing or brawling? And now a huge deduction on Rios.

Drakulich, yes the ref of the three in the ring, needs to calm down.

Round 8, another point deduction on Chaves!

And a DQ in favor of Rios. Wow.

Don't see too many DDTs in boxing.

Scores at the time of stoppage? 75-74 Chaves, 75-74 Chaves, and 75-74 Rios.

Drakulich clearly lost control of the fight and made himself the center of attention. Those 2 deductions earlier in the fight(1 for Chaves and Rios) were dubious. The DQ, I guess, looks as if Chaves thumbed Rios when they were in close. Probably deserves a point taken if that is the case but a DQ is a bit of a stretch.

Kovalev...wow. Caparello knocked him down in round 1 but it was more of a balance issue than anything else as his foot caught Kovalev's then landed the left. Kovalev blitzed him in round 2 and Caparello had no chance. Straight body shot for the first KD pretty much ended the fight. Caparello seemed paralyzed by the punch. 2 KD's later and the ref called it, correctly so. Now onto the very intriguing fight with Hopkins, apparently it's going to be on November 8th.

Vargas/Novikov had maybe some of the worst scores of the year. 118-111, 117-111(2x) for Vargas. It was a very competitive fight, one that I thought could've gone either way(draw or 115-113 for either I'd say) and much closer scoring. Vargas started off very well but then Novikov slowly put his stamp on the fight. Vargas took a couple more rounds later on but I really find it hard to think that Vargas won 9 rounds. Complete BS.

Eh, that knockdown in the 1st round was definitely flukey. Kovalev wasn't really hurt or stunned. He lost his balance more than anything because Caparello stepped on his foot.

And that was a really dirty fight between Rios and Chaves. Lots of animosity there. I'd love to see a rematch.

As far as B-Hop is concerned, props to him for taking the more dangerous fight. And  at Stevenson for getting shutout completely. Quite frankly he deserves it.

What a complete farce tonight was and for Showtime(also ODLH tweets) to act like it was some big event is embarrassing. Danny Jacobs is not a middleweight titlist, Lamont Peterson beat up a punching bag, and the main event might have proved to be worse than anyone could've imagined.

Peterson and Garcia sometime in December. Book it.

Horrible mismatches tonight. I don't know what the hell Garcia is doing fighting someone like Salka. He's not even a fringe contender.
