I just don't think this is competitive.

I'm so psyched for a return of Nick, but this is both way too far away and against a guy who can hang at 205. Give Nick a fight at 170.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

I think it will be fun, even if it isn't all that competitive.

Diaz can take punishment and will come forward. Those aren't paths to winning a fight, especially against Anderson Silva, but they will force some action.

Diaz vs Weidman? LOL!

Might as well have Fabio Maldanado rematch Stipe Miocic.

Man, I can't wait for this line to open.
I really hope Vegas gives diaz some love, so I can bet on Silva.

To be fair, Anderson will be a month or three away from 40 by the time this fight happens, and is coming off a pretty brutal injury with over a year layoff. That said, Nick will have been out almost two years. I can't believe that dude is just now 30, unbelievable.

Anderson is not only coming off a horrific injury, but he also had his brains scrambled in the fight prior to that.

Both guys need a tune-up so we can see where they are... Diaz/Noons III or Diaz/Alves or Diaz/Sanchez II... and something like Silva/Jimmo. I know that will never happen because instant gratification >>>> all.

I think it's surprising that people are complaining that the fight will be 1 sided. Aren't the most entertaining Silva fights 1 sided? Watching Silva matrix people is more entertaining than watching Silva vs. Sonnen 1. Silva gets a tune-up fight, Diaz gets a big money fight, and the fans get a fight we want to see. Win-win-win.

It's all about media hype and trash talking

Diaz isn't elite and shouldn't be given fights like these.

I'll watch, but this is going to be an arse kicking that will make Diaz cry and retire again like a little bitch.

For the first time since he got injured, Anderson said today he would be happy to fight for the title again at some point.

Nick is a tough cat but his style is just perfect for a classic Anderson Silva beatdown. Thoughts on how long this one will last?

Exactly. Frankly- Nick Diaz and Title Shot should no longer be in the same sentence. Look at Diaz's record at 170- his best win was Lawler 10 years ago, and Daley in 2011. Beating a past of the prime LW in Penn does not hold much value to me. Dana is crazy to think that Diaz could get a shot at the 185 title (LOL). Weidman would destroy Diaz in the First Round. He will take him down, and ground and pound him into a bloody pulp. Not even worth discussing.

In his last 28 fights, Diaz was only stopped once, as that was because a doctor called the fight due to a cut.

I think Anderson will use the Carlos Condit strategy against Diaz. I could see this fight lasting a while. I could also see some momements in this fight where both guys are taunting each other at the same time which will make some funny gifs.

It seems like most of Anderson's finishes are in the 2nd round. Anderson takes a while to get his opponenet's rhythm down, so a finish in the 2nd would be a good bet, but a finish in any round by Anderson wouldn't suprise me, and neither would a decision.

Haha, love the story...am disturbed that anyone spent the time to animate that.

Diaz is Roberto Duran.

Haha, the animation from 6:30 til the end of the fight is great, I'll grant. It's such an awesome story it is culturally valuable to animate it I absolutely believe.
